For the kind of organisations that use Oracle, you do not switch unless you having a fucking big reason. People use oracle for things that have to run properly all the time, or the business goes bust. The CTO that desides to swtich the database better have bollocks the size of a small planet.
For new projects maybe, but for the day to day running of the company, Oracle will not be shaking in their boots just yet.
They paid Xerox to use it, so what s the problem ??. The fact that xeroz did not realise how big it would become is there problem. What is happening now is just blatant copying.
The roblem with that is that they dont want to go to china , as china will shoot them dead in a heart beat, the chinese know they are guilty and will nto fuck around like us idiots!

All this fuss could be avoided by offering those who want it separate jabs, however they governments refuse to do thisa , as the companies that have bought thewm off have invested in MMR and have profits relying on this. Whats funny is that you can get private jabs no problem.
The fact is that the trust in MMR has been broken and rather than just accepting that and offering both , just as long as the kids are vacinatted they would rather have them die , than conceed that they have lost the PR battle.
As someone who worked on the program from nearly its beginning I can tell you, people coould see this road crash coming for years. They tried to do too much in on go. Of course you can blame the Labour party and the suppliers for that. What with the end of Boom and Bust its always easy to pish other peoples money i.e the taxpayers up the wall!
And the amount of ex IT consultants working for the government means that that this kind of debacle happened time and time again , just the same as defence.
As for the contract costing as much to cancel as to complete thats the same trick Gordon Brown used to make sure the new brtiish carriers were built in scotland. Bent as a nine bob note!
