    I just finished my degree (BS in CS) at age 42 so it's definitely do-able. Couple of points:

    1. If you're currently employed, see if your employer provides tuition assistance or reimbursement. It will increase the time required, but you will graduate with less debt. It took me 11 years (off & on) but I have zero school debt right now.

    2. If you have an option between several different schools, make sure you shop around regarding how much of your existing credits they'll accept.

    We have a few of these in Portland (Oregon) like the Laurelhurst and the various McMenamin's. They show second-run movies, but they have beer and stuff to eat.

    Definitely makes waiting for the movie worthwile.

    Are the numbers right? Even at the "new reduced price", that still winds up being $1692.86 per computer, and either $338.57/year or $282.14/year (5- and 6-year terms, respectivley) per computer.

    Sounds a little (lot) expensive.

    But hey, I guess that's why Bill & Steve get paid the big bucks...

    The emissions testing is limited to the major metropolitan areas, Portland and (I believe) Salem and Eugene.

    If you live outside those areas, no sweat, no problemo...

    sigh, yes, I caved in to Bill. For What I do, IE works just fine. But at least I code Perl, so I'm not totally hopeless...

    I tried Opera a year or so ago and there were a few things about it I didn't care for. Don't remember what they were, but it was more along the lines of little annoyances rather than anything major.

    No major ideological choice, IE just works good the way I use it.

    I also liked how when I visited their site, the first thing I got was the IE security dialog saying that Gator wanted to download something.

    uh, no thanks.

    But I guess this brings up the point that their business is so good that they need to advertise 3rd-party trojan-ware on their site...

    Not a flame directed at you (more of a general peeve on my part), but:

    People may find if hard to believe but once humanity lived without, gasp! cell phones

    Seriously though, do you (not you personally, just cell-phone users in general) really need to give ~$400/year to some corp which obviously doesn't care how you feel?

    The only reason they charge you $X/month for not selecting them as your LD provider is because thousands of people have said "oh, it's only a little bit per month"
