Worse yet since we are about to enter a down turn in the national economy the lower wages common in a depressed market will follow people as a gauge of their pay worthiness for their entire lives.
If you get very, very lucky you just might find an enlightened employer who does not use excuses to hold you back. Keep in mind that good pay is usually found in businesses with steady, large profits.
Capitalism isn't an issue until it replaces religion and mashes peoples' morals. A capitalist operating with good Christian concepts is one thing. Health involves national defense. We can't get soldiers out of thin air and if they are well on their way to being life long health cripples we will either have to spend money on them or get into a brutal mode where the sick are swept off of our streets and killed away from public view.

Cops walking a beat sometimes give them a tap with their foot to see if they are dead yet. To call an ambulance costs the city money as does an emergency room. It is more cost effective to pick them up when they are dead. Many are drunks, addicts or the mentally ill. But some others are those who are ill or just mentally retarded enough not to be able to survive in society.
It's time to stop this national nightmare.
Nothing short of price controls across the entire medical industry can succeed. Frankly the medical industry has been engaged in a continuous rapeathon of our wallets. All we saw from the republicans involved the worst of all answers. They allowed what I call a three pocket solution. The government's pocket, the insurance companies pocket and the patient's pocket were involved. Usually if someone got really sick the extended family's pocket and even the church and charity pockets were tossed in for good measure.
Instead we need a one pocket system. That system needs to be the government or a government assigned insurance policy that pays 100% for all medical, eye and dental care. By carefully controlling the price of each item including doctor's fees we can get health care to the public and stop the national nightmare.
For those that whine that we can not afford it then they should bow down and grovel admitting that several other nations actually can afford it. Is America the poor boy on the block?

In the mid 1980 era we had numerous stops at air ports in which the government brought in specialists and checked both credentials and the circuit boards that we were carrying within the US. There is software for Windows in the wild that will search across all connected drives for a word or phrase. It's been years since I used any Windows product but I wish a global for of grep existed for Linux users. Obviously the search might take an hour or two but at the very least it will find what you ask it to find. In the ideal case it would be able to search various forms of zip files also. That would leave only encrypted files as unsearchable.

I believe it is the poet Lord Byron's daughter or grand daughter that came up with the notion of digital information processing and that has been quite a few decades back to say the least. Then there are all of the mathematical, chemical and physics issues that had to be hammered out and finally the birth of electricity, electronics and even the notion that individuals might find computers useful that had to be developed.
An elderly relative asked me about 1989 why I wanted to purchase a computer. She could not understand what I needed to compute. Despite a high education and extremely high I.Q. the idea of computing was lost to her.
The real deal is to attack the political system and get others to do likewise until companies that try to limit your net access are driven into the dirt. Unlimited net access needs to be seen, in this era, as a basic civil liberty that can not be limited by commercial entities or governmental actions.
For example picture this: A young fellow gets drunk and decides to streak across campus. Sadly for him that gets him posted on the sexual predator list for life and also in some areas gets him disallowed from any net usage at all in fear that he might molest children. It's time for society to sober up. The net is nothing more than free speech for the modern citizen.
Obviously this judge is completely drifty and has floated downstream away from the dock. Messing with domain names is not a state issue. The fact that residents of Kentucky may happen to gamble online does not imply that the state of Kentucky should have legal jurisdiction over their gambling. This is an inter-state or international issue regardless of the effect it may have on individuals or the states in which they live.
