1. I agree. on A New Look For Firefox · · Score: -1

I will join with the groups in saying stay with the current 0.8 theme. It fits and works well with Windows and Linux. I use both and it works perfect for both.

If there is a switch to a theme the is ala OS X, that will be the first thing to go if I upgrade to 0.9 or 1.

I also feel that it would be a bad PR move to move to a theme so customized that it doesn't look like anything anyone uses on Windows or Linux.

At the very least, give us a choice of themes at install.

If I wanted my applications to look like OSX, I'd run OSX. I stay away from Apple and OSX for that reason and others. I do not like the look of OSX or any OS apple has ever made. Their general theme of OS's just does not go with what I like. Pinstripe will be the first thing to go for me.

Long story short, the video is total bullshit. It was faked for the purpose of getting lots and lots of page hits (read: advertising revenue). A P4 will NOT run without a heatsink, thermal throttling or otherwise.

Hi, welcome to a clue. It does. I saw that video and I've seen others. I've personally seen it work just fine with no heatsink. AMD still sucks. :D

  17. Re:Why use Intel anymore? on Current Processors Tested With Linux · · Score: -1

Unfortunatly the standard was made by intel. And is copywrited by intel. AMD can only hope to immitate the standard. Unfortunatly AMD not being 100% compatable with the standard causes problems. There are some problems with AMD chips and certian hardware. It just simply doesn't work sometimes where Intel does. Intel also has much more R&D into making a chip that won't fry itself if it gets too hot. AMD? Naw, they'd rather make you buy a new chip than bother to make it prevent a problem before it occurs. That's why intel is on top and will stay there. AMD will simply be a player in the game to introduce some fodder so that Intel isn't considered a monopoly.
