    you are so far off the mark, i can't believe i'm gonna bother... BUT a couple thousand could produce plenty of cds for sale (from say a show, or website)... now all the other bs about scouting talent, and what not is also crap. there's plenty of "talent" out there. the only difficult part is finding an "artist" willing to sell their soul and create what the labels tell them to... or that the labels give them to perform from some other poor soulless basterd.

    i'd go into more detail, but whose got that kind of time, i've got souls to harvest...

    but isn't an explosion (one where the burn is not confined,say in a pipe) caused not only by the temp, but the rate of burn.

    thunder (the boom) from lightning (the burn) is one thing that comes to mind.

    or am i way off here?

    at the risk of sounding redundant, billg is a savy businessman and profiteer. nothing more. he is not for community, openess, or sharing in any way that would threaten his empire. he is about profits, nothing more. and anything that threatens profits must be expunged.

    i also disagree about "a million billion dollars" changing one's core values. i believe "core values" are a constant, but money makes forcing them on others a real possibility. this is what lobbiests do, and with great success i might add.

    you would have been more correct if you said a coop, but even they need land (commonly known as real estate)....

    if you wanted to be absolutely correct, you could have said grizzly adams, or robinson caruso, (though technically the latter was marooned). you see the point i'm making here....

    (just in case u couldn't) the homeless rarely make a choice to boycott the food or real estate industries. the norm is probably closer to the rug being pulled out from under them due to economics, mental disfunction, or just plain old self alienation.

    now, the teamsters or any other large union on the other hand have some real boycotting power. and don't even get me started on "the grey panthers"...

    depends on the country... in the UK, i would say yes it is a right... unless of course they no longer require the viewers to get a license (read "pay a tax"). which used to be required for each tv in a residence, and came in 2 flavors (or flavours if u prefer), black and white, or colo(u)r.
