Yeah, it does. What I say is extremely simple. With all you guys preaching this 'lesser evil' crap, it very relevant to point out that the people you advocate are the same as the ones you hate. Please, stop. The republicans are no worse than the democrats, and they are no more in opposition than you are with your wife.

Yes, Romney's GA would act identical to Holder under the same circumstance. This is business. Put aside the bullshit.

Should be more like atonement. One of the major architects of civil forfeiture is Joe Biden. This is only happening because it finally gets some bad press. Anybody who happens to be in the office would do the same thing. Don't credit to the politician. Give that to the squeaky wheel.

Yeah, if the press made a stink (the only reason we get this much), and the people actually reacted, sure he would (How many people expected Nixon to give us OSHA and the EPA, or expected Eisenhower to send in regular army to desegregate the schools?). It's what politicians do. It's not the president who makes these rules. They just sign the papers. And you'll also find one of the biggest pushers of civil forfeiture was none other than the 'lesser evil' Joe Biden. One big happy family these guys are, who like to bicker on the TV

Yeah! And then you all reelected over 95% of the people who did it right back in(or, more accurately, 100% of the ruling party), including the guy who signed the bill, only because you all vote for bling that has to be spoon fed to be noticed. Good show!

The entire problem lies with the voters and nobody else. They do every thing they can to absolve themselves of responsibility, and they sell their vote to the flashiest bullshitter that promises a pot of gold and a higher fence. Say whaa??! What 'change' are youtalking about? 95% of these bastards get reelected every time. And all these great revelations about government abuse have not changed any of that since... well, ever. Switching back and forth between republican and democrat cannot be called 'change' by any sense of the word, except for their spelling. The government is an undistorted, but maybe slightly embellished reflection of the wishes of the voters. Let's consider looking at the root of the problem, instead of the symptoms, which is all everybody is talking about here.

What is clear from the elections is that people wake up, push a button, and go back to sleep. I'm not sure what you could expect from that, other than what we have.

The hierarchy is self imposed. 'Persuasion' cannot be held responsible for the personal choice to act. You are scapegoating social constructs for bad personal choices. Didn't your mother ever ask you if you would jump off a cliff just because your friends did? They is nothing physical in a word that is capable of compelling a person with a free will to act. If nobody follows the order to kill, then you cannot sanction the person who made the order, No harm was done. Only some noise was made. We are star struck by leaders when the danger emerges from those who follow. When you kill the leader, they only find another one just like him. The war is forever until people actually think first before acting. Instead of censorship, preach resistance to peer pressure. Tear down the social constructs that you blame for how people react to speech.

On the contrary. But all reactions to the words are a conditioned response. Unlike a rock hitting you on the head, they have no intrinsic value not defined by another person. The meaning of a word can change overnight. A rock is still a rock with real value in its mass and energy. The 'value' of the word is totally dependent on the person's reaction, which is usually quite variable, but the value is the choice to react, not the word itself. And it is person who made that choice that must be held accountable, not the word he claims to have provoked him.
