So, because people want 100% control over a device they own(sorry, but Apple product-owners do own the devices and copies of software under their control), these people are "trolls"? Sure, the mobile line of Apple products(iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc) have a lot of good features and they all have decent "flexibility", but it does not give a company the right to artificially limit the control their customers have over the devices they(the customers) own. You need to remember that things only change when people demand for change to occur, then fight for it(it is how the United States came into existence).

You say that you were not interested in "drinking the kool-aid", but your comment sounds like one of the "magical" commercials that Apple likes to run for its products. To me, it seems like you are still drinking the kool-aid and you are just calling it something else.

I might have one hotspot in a 750 square mile radius, but it gets better the closer I travel to the Metro-Atlanta area. I wish I had the luxury that you enjoy by having hotspots all around me, or even access to proper broadband internet(Verizon Wireless is the only broadband option, and even that sucks with the 5G cap and spotty service).

Living in a rural area, we are extremely light on hotspots and broadband access. I will not sell my house(which I built just five years ago) and all my land(around twenty acres) just to spend ten times the price for 1/8th the square footage(my home is 2200 square feet, plus full, finish basement...Georgia does not count basements in square footage for tax purposes...back on topic...) and zero land, plus a HOA(Home Owners Association) just to get surrounded by WiFi hotspots.

The fact of the matter is that these company's wireless divisions are wanting to offer phones that offer the "latest HD, 3D, [insert new marketing flashing shit word]" content on new phones, which eats more and more data, yet they want to cut the amount of data available and keep the prices(essentially) the same. AT&T is the most glaring by cutting the data throughput by more than half(the industry already limits "unlimited" plans to 5GB, which is wrong), yet they want to cut the price by $5 dollars. This is just a huge "FUCK YOU" with a few offensive gestures by AT&T.

Verizon Wireless is about to go down the same road, but people continue to blindly use the product. If I had a choice(which I do not, as I have to be able to access the internet for work), I would dump Verizon tomorrow and and go with a company that is willing to provide me with the service I pay for. This is an attempt by professors at a "prestigious" university to attempt to make the rest of United States citizens look like a group of brain-dead monkeys. The fact of the matter is that the second one does save more gas. How much you improve a car means shit; the important number(if there really is one in this discussion, as "green" is total horseshit) is the end result, not by what percentage you increase gas mileage. I know that this group is talking about actual gas saved, not the difference between the two in percentages, but the whole idea is messed up.

No matter what uptight idiots that are highly educated want people to do, people will continue to consume. In order to help save people money, it simply makes sense to go to the highest mpg-rated vehicle possible. I am against the whole "green movement", as it endangers people's way of life and causes too many people to lose jobs. That is, not to mention to detrimental effect on people's wallets in the name of a bullshit idea and junk science.

If people were looking to be saver(which a majority of ALL citizens, not just United States citizens, fail at doing), then they would follow the amount of fuel they are using and limit it only to what they can afford to budget. Since this is not the case, then it is dumb to rely on sticking people with 20 mpg cars when the market is able to reliably offer 50 mpg cars. Yeah, people will travel more, but at least they will be able to afford it more. To me, it sounds like the oil industry just gave Duke a large infusion of money.

Just as an aside, miles per gallon(MPG) IS the measure of consumption of a vehicle(though it is lacking some measurements). What else are these lace-curtain homos wanting? Do they want to measure how many Greenpeace assholes a car pisses off? Perhaps they want to measure how many "My Little Ponies" a vehicle eats in order to travel over a given distance? Perhaps(in all seriousness) car manufacturers could measure consumption by [volume]/minute, but that will leave off information too. What if you drive for four minutes, eight seconds? Going 30 MPH will consume less per minute than going 50 MPH, or 70 MPH. Sure, the calculations will vary, but US citizens are too dumb to take that into account(sarcasm, for the dumb), right?

The fact is that mpg is the best calculations(to date, of course) that a vehicle manufacturer can provide. The manufacturers could give estimates on how much it will cost, on average, to sit at the average length of a traffic control light(i.e., "red lights"), but that will not really help. What about traffic jams or other times that you sit in a car while it idles(traffic stops for citizens and/or law enforcement)? The fact is that they do not provide answers, they(the school) want to see itself in the news.

How about this school use that brainpower to find answers to more important problems. That would include almost everything else that exist, including how Lindsey Lohan might be able scam her SCRAM braclet and how to plug the whole in Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratts marriage(and maybe one of Heidi's breast implants).

Land-line companies are not heavily regulated by the government anymore, as you are attempting to suggest(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecommunications_Act_of_1996). You have to also remember that those wireless towers are fed by wire-line companies(which are not always the same company that owns the antenna), so that line running up to the cell tower is regulated by the current laws for wire, not wireless.

AT&T Wireless and AT&T Wireline are the exact same company, they are just run in differing way. My girlfriend, who works at AT&T Wireless, get extremely cheap wireless accounts, free long distance on her home phone, and free DSL. This is because AT&T covers all AT&T brands(though AT&T is not really AT&T anymore, it is SBC under a different name, but with the same bad management).

Bilzzard is wrong in that the customer does not own the software they are purchasing, but they might be sort of right in that we do not own their servers.

The fact of the matter is that this bot make no difference to the game. No one gives a shit about leveling content; it is all about the "end game" content. Blizzard seems to understand this with the increase in speed of leveling(less experience to reach certain levels and in-game clothing that increases experience given for killing and questing). Even with all of this, at some point, leveling from level one will push possible customers away from this game.

The closer the maximum level reaches 100, less new customers will start playing and more current customers will shy away from starting new customers and that will reduce some customers longevity. I am guessing Blizzard will do something to combat this, but it is time to stop it with the immediate account removal(well, immediate bannings) for people that use bots. Blizzard claims that will do anything "up to" permanent account suspension, but Blizzard always gives out their harshest punishment for actions like this by their customers.

I would like to add that it is not the place of any company to punish their customers. If a customer breaks the law, then government is there to step in and provide corrective action. For the minors out there, parents are there, unless they commit a serious crime, then it is up to government. When a non-government entity provides corrective action, there is no oversight as there is with government. Gaming companies "punishing" customers is sort of a small issue, but where does it end?

Do car companies get to come in and take away cars when customers are caught breaking speed limits? Do gun manufacturers get to take away guns from civilians and law enforcement when said guns are "misused" in their eyes? Will pharmaceutical companies take away medication if some patients take more pills than they were supposed to, even one time?

Due to Blizzard's arrogance, in believing that they can dictate what software people can create and sell, I hope they lose big. Blizzard's attorneys have played "fast and loose" with the law and they need to pay.
