    Cost, most of us are fully capable of writing bullet proof however the costs usually out weigh the benefits. Now if you have a 2 billion dollar budget and only one shot at it why yes the engineering and code will be rather robust.

    I can walk into any Radio Shack and buy the parts to turn a semiauto anything into a fully automatic, so what is your point? It is still illegal as all hell to do so.

    Actually it is a fine hunting weapon, I have AR-10 same cartridge that I use for large game hunting. I know it is black so nobody would hunt with that, right?

    It very much depends on your skill set and market. My usual availability is rarely over one week, if the interview process and or decision takes longer than that I am already hired elsewhere.

    No it is rather easy, that is unless you want someone to move all of the way across the country just to plug into a closer internet connection in NY.

    It simply amazes me that companies complain that they cannot find rockstar engineers and or programmers. I an interested in your job, however I am not interested in your job in NY.

    I am a systems engineer, thousands of servers and in the last three years of working here I have never actually physically seen one of them. Even funnier they are not even located in the same state I am in.

    On the days I do drive into the office it is usually just so I can get out of the house once in a while.

    I can respect the geek appeal of the engineering. However I compare it to writing a console app in java when a bash,perl or python script would have gotten it done without including 400 jar files.

    No but they are the ones under attack for their president stating his opinion. Which of course has nothing at all to do with any of the franchise owners and or their employees.

    That and well the simple fact they sell hands down the best chicken sandwich.

    I ate and or bought chick-fil-a for others every single day this week and will continue.

    Now before anyone goes hating on me know this.

    1. I donate large sums of money to GLBT causes every year and have nothing against gay marriage.
    2. I am not religious.
    3. I believe in evolution not creationism.
    4. I am a hard core right wing Republican.

    All that being said, I am extremely pro private business and that value far outweighs anyones little pissing match with the management of chick-fil-a.

    Well it has to be certainly a decision based on something other than profits I will grant you that. The y are either using it for leverage and or have another devious plan like a console, etc.

    It is a shame since the platform has the potential to be far better than any other. However at the end of the day it will be a huge money looser due to the small desktop install base.

    I did a gig in Austin last summer, what a shit hole city you cannot pay me enough to work there again. When people talk about how cool austin is they mean one block of downtown the rest of the place is a humid, hot shit hole.

    I make the same pay rate as my peers in SF yet my apartment rent is $550 per month in one of the best areas of the city. On top of that I don't even own a jacket, sunshine every single day.
