The biggest problem I have with python is that it spoils me. Writing python for a couple of weeks then having to jump back into a C syntax language causes me pain. It takes a few days again to get over the fact that I am constantly having to type cruft just so the compiler knows what I mean.
Not this conservative, this is a gift and a great opportunity. It does mean a little career path change for me as I switch to out sourcing as many jobs as I possible can. Eat or be eaten.
.NET the platform and the languages that run on it are nothing more than various forms of visual basic. Ok I admit that some of the hacks where fixed in the class structures and such but it is still just vb.
Yea I really screwed up when I bought my macbook air, the build quality is soooo horrible. I have 5 laptops and the air is by far the best one I have ever owned.
I had a shit head boss once that actually just laid into me one morning while surrounded by 10 co-workers about being late 5 minutes to the office. Never mind the fact that I was salary and had been up supporting our china facility until 3AM.
I sat there completely stunned for a second. Walked over to him and handed him my laptop and badge and walked out the door.
Now if I was a clock puncher that is another story yes I should not be late.
I have made them completely iIrrelevant in my life and prefer it that way. That is not to say I never use a MS product it is just that I am in no way dependent on anything they produce.

Look a developer that already knows some other language is never going to be interested in Perl.

It is obvious to me that the left, which likes to encourage illegal immigration, is essentially in favor of legalized slavery.
A illegal immigrant in this country is no more than a indentured slave. Employers can treat them in any fashion they wish including by threat.

Most of us write them every day, otherwise known as production code.
Realize that some of us do not need to be force-fed information we are quite capable of performing this feat on our own.
The only times I have visited a university was to assist CS professors in teaching a class.
I do realize however that I am a exception to the rule and yes 90% of the general public will need to be force-fed.
