  1. Wait, what? on Victory For Irish File Sharers Dashed By Government Report · · Score: 4, Interesting

EMI Ireland recently warned the Government that it would take legal action against the State if the Government did not address the problem.

"We'll sue you if you don't change your laws"?! On what basis? Did I just misunderstand that sentence?

Oh that old argument again...not only you can choose to use Steam offline, no, you can also start the games completely without Steam! If the games, and therefor the developers of the games allow it, that is.

If you think Steam is crap, try using "Games for Windows Live"...

  22. Re:Microsoft on Will Firefox Lose Google Funding? · · Score: 1

The problem Microsoft has is, if they drop IE and start using FF, they admit that they *suck* at making a browser, and that a gang of hipsters and nerds is doing a better job (yeah yeah, I'm aware what the FLOSS community is and that it is far from that). Additionally, a *very* big part of the OS needs to be dropped, too (who knew that if you disallow some stuff in the Internet Options, Visual Studio can't display error messages anymore?). So they'd basically admit that they suck ad writing Operating Systems.
