Or perhaps there is a critical mass after which point it doesn't matter how much drama there is since there are so many people in the guild that you would just be shooting yourself in the foot by leaving for a potentially smaller guild.
The word "Massive" in the context of MMOG is a finite number which is usually two thousand or so on a single server cluster.
This means that if your guild is a good fraction of that population then you will be able to prosper due to the fact that you can easily organize, execute (pun intended) and even control (by camping) all of the high level content in the game, thereby giving your members a clear advantage over those who have to try to pool their resources.
That said, I have to say that having been in big guilds and small guilds, I tend to enjoy the small guild the best, even if that means I can't have the best loot. I have been running with a group of about 5 guys for almost 2 years and I am happier playing the same old game now than I was when I started.
yes, because all of the engineers in the world were busy at work on this project for the last 10 years! We are now reaching the end of the development cycle and are ready to release this new, high-speed steam racer to the public.
This will surely replace all of our current, more efficient automobiles.
I agree. 802.11n is not just about increased speed, it also brings a vast improvement in range.
Last year I bought Belkin's 802.11preN AP and PC card and did some tests of my own. With the AP in my house I was able to get usable signal up to 400 ft away with clear LoS (to my house) and about 100 ft away through the neighbors houses.
Holy crap, you are like my doppleganger or something. I am just way to practical to shell out $600 for something that does the exact same thing as something I already have.
Lets see. 2 CATV coax cables, 1 IR cable, 1 power cable, 1 video cable....so 5 cables for me, you win. However, I only hit one button to turn my machine on just the same as you do and then just use the remote control from there. It really is idiot proof.
You must have a lot of whiney friends. I have been a member of the MythTV mailing list for years and I have never seen anyone use that argument as a major reason why MythTV is better than Tivo.
The top reasons MythTV is better than Tivo (and other commercial DVRs) are: 1. Commercial flagging 2. Editing and Exporting utils 3. media center addons (mythdvd, mythvideo, mythmusic, etc).
Imagine moving that treadmill controller around to LAN parties. Only the most dedicated to weight-loss would attempt it, but man would it be hilarious to see the 300 pound guy sweating his ass off getting that thing through the door.
Of course, that would require a sensible architecture in which software can be installed by users, for themselves, without superuser permissions
I think that it is really more about Windows software developers writing sloppy installation programs that stick stuff in the Windows directory or try to put stuff in parts of the registry that they don't need to.
This is what VMWare ACE was designed for. Add in a Citrix Access Gateway and some intelligent policies you got yourself a very secure remote workforce.
However, on further thought it kinda seems pointless because the mugger is almost certainly not going to be in camera shot (I would think they would be savvy enough to do this already) and there could really be nothing done about people abusing the code to try to fake out the system and claim that the money was stolen when it wasn't.
Strange. I have never watched a single show (TV or otherwise) on YouTube. I suppose that there must be some people that this will piss off, but I think YT is more about showcasing crazy humans than about watching the episode of BSG you missed (get a DVR!).
I suppose that you could reverse engineer a ballpark figure of how many servers are active based on the power usage or maybe figure out that they are running some kind of high power consumption experiments, but what good does that do anybody?
I am surprised to hear someone say this. I have actually been very impressed with current voice recognition voice systems. I use HP, FedEx and Microsoft's voice recognition systems regularly and have only had a problem with recognition in very noisy environments.

And the last time you recommended Linspire was?
so what's your password and ip then?

They must be gimick accounts....
How about "We Think Furiously"
uh, no
as long as the surface the "cloth" is on is level, there is no problem.

But I know from experience with Citrix that Jet does not scale to more than 1000 simultaneous users. This seems to be borderline incompetence to me.

I do not understand your humorjoke
Interesting idea about the distress ATM PIN.

I guess you see only what you want to see.
...blah, blah, blah, OUTSIDE!, blah, blah...
Reminds me of that Far Side cartoon "What a dog hears"

I am trying to puzzle this out as well.

Did you have any problems with the nanobots?
I, unfortunately, did not read the fine print and happened to be dropping the kids off at the pool when my service was hooked up.
On the bright side, my hemroids are a thing of the past.
We still have 10 or so hours to go....
Yeah, real professional...
Except for maybe the cheese-ball pictures. Every one of them is completely over-the-top and satirical.
Age old method, we have seen it over and over. Why are people surprised every time it happens again?
