What foreseeable civil or criminal proceeding was underway? None. And if there was, they'd have a search warrant naming the individual and what they're wanting access to. This was a fishing expedition, nothing more.
Also, it's unlikely that US customs and border patrol would deny entry to a resident of the US. They could detain the guy, but to what end? The phone was wiped, there's nothing else to pursue. It's not actionable because he wasn't suspected of a crime, it wasn't evidence.
I don't even work in government, but we're trained not to expose any data to our own people unless they have a valid reason to see that data. I imagine government agencies would have similar policies.
Everyone at Mozilla should have stood with him in order to illustrate their commitment for a free and open Internet. Instead, Mozilla is laying people off as they become more and more irrelevant.
He was forced out. For all the public outcry against him, there was plenty in support of him. Liberals want their beliefs to win, conservatives want their's as well. That's why this shouldn't factor into the workplace. The only way to succeed is to have a company of only like-minded people which is a scary thought, or you have to shed any beliefs and become a non-person, or we can says nuts to this and let people believe what they want so long as they don't bring it into the workplace.
I believe that people have a right to a private life in addition to their work life. I don't want my work to be judged on what I do when I'm not at work. Think about what you're saying. You don't want to be inclusive of someone with certain conservative views, but yet you'd be outraged if someone tried to exclude you based on certain liberal views, right? So long as it doesn't interfere with your work, it shouldn't matter. And no, I don't buy the argument that it's different because he was CEO versus a low-level button pusher.
It creates a trust problem too. If they're willing to do unsavory things to people based on their beliefs, your web browser knows a lot about you. Who is to say that they wouldn't use your browser history against you at some point?
Or they only have offices in areas where American workers don't want to relocate to, whereas imported labor will agree to work anywhere in the country.
He never said anything like that about the press. He supports a free press. After the buzzfeed fake news, he was asked in a press conference if he felt that the press should be reformed/regulated and he flat out said no, no hesitation. You guys are so caught up in your own echo chamber you're missing Trump supporting the causes you claim to support.
Good luck getting the alternative if you have prescription insurance. I've been fighting with my insurer for over a week trying to get an "epinephrine auto-injector" that is generic and not the far more expensive brand name Epi-Pen. It's insane. The insurer keeps denying that one exists even though they provided them last year. To get the generic now we have to go through a non-formulary authorization process which so far has failed.
That's not what it's for. If you ever take first aid training, they tell you explicitly that you're not supposed to do that. You can kill someone epinephrine. Besides which, unless you're wearing the thing around your neck, how would they know you have one? It's for use by the person with allergies to give them enough time to call 911 and wait for rescue. Kids absolutely shouldn't be messing with medication unless it's their own and they've been taught very well on when it's appropriate to use. Even then it doesn't sound like a good idea.
I haven't seen one of those before. That doesn't look like a typical syringe, so even if someone could get a script for one, I don't know if they could actually find a pharmacy to fulfill the order. If you guys think auto-injectors are over-kill, you'd love the Auvi-q that actually plays prerecorded audio instructing you on how to use it. My allergist wasn't impressed when I said that it was a pointless feature that I didn't want that probably only existed to drive up the cost of the gadget.
So you've missed the countless news stories about consumers complaining about Mylan not to mention the government hearings and investigations. Sure looks to me that people are pushing it and yet you're still calling them "incredibly lazy". The only thing more they could do is get elected to the legislature to pass a bill themselves. Asswipe. I bet you're the anonymous twat that pisses on the toilet seat and leaves it for the next guy.

Border security doesn't relate to terrorism?
He could be screwed anyway. He may not have had permission to take the phone beyond our border in the first place.
That's when you give them the code that wipes the device.

Stand for something or stand for nothing.

I know a lot of people that don't want to telecommute. There's value on having your team nearby and having the ability to work together in person.

Yep. I wonder how much of this can be attributed to Mozilla forcing Brendan Eich out of the CEO position.
Also known as "UX engineers".
Trudeauvision?

That's not true everywhere. Dipshit.
Sexual acts done by consenting adults is not against the law, nor the public's business.
Adultery.
What are you going to do when the collect agency starts calling?
That is often called "the world's first profession".

They did a lot of things with needles in the 80s.

Huh? Why are school districts stocking medications?
