This could turn out to be one of those very simple yet highly playable games that the XBox could really do with.
Not having a multiplayer option would be a shame. Anyone that's played "Zombies ate my neighbours" on the SNES will attest to the crazed arguments that can result from one player stealing all the good pickups.
Not all necessarily adult, but certainly not kiddy:
Die hard Vendetta Timesplitters 2 Medal of Honour Hitman 2 James Bond (x2 installments) Lord of the Rings (x2 installments currently) Star Wars Rogue Squadron II Splinter Cell Wolverines Revenge Ikaruga
It's almost as bad as what happened to the employees at an accident claim company in the UK. The company went into receivership and employees were informed by text message that they had lost their jobs.
That means nothing as far as games consoles go. It's all about the games and if you haven't got any decent games on your platform your machine won't sell.

First we have big ass adverts appearing below articles. Now we've got adverts appearing in the guise of articles.
You don't have to regenerate the binary. Flash has a built in XML parser, so you can just grab content from a PHP, Perl, ASP (whatever else) page that generates XML from a database. It also allows you to create persistant connections so that you can PUSH content to the client as well as have the client data PULL. That kind of technology makes it perfect for community sites.
And finally, will it be AOL-only, or can we set up settings from our own ISP? There was speculation on The Register that the device will be available at a knock down price (possibly even free) to buyers that take a subscription to AOL. So if you can buy it without getting an AOL subscription I would guess that you could hook it up to the provider of your choosing.
So how does that explain the travesty that is the multi million sales of Enter the Matrix?
But like he says - there are always kids turning six.

When are the pop-unders going to start?
Why would you want to connect to XBox Live! with a linux XBox when you could just connect straight to the net and jump on a Quake server there.
And how the hell are you gonna manage to play Halo in the first place when your XBox is now a Linux box?

"I would quite like to see the Irish, Welsh, Scottish etc start paying their own way in taxes instead of being subsidised by the English."
WTF! England make a huge profit from the oil in the north sea, and the english fishing boundaries which stretch well into scottish waters.
Could always set the domain of the cookie to .com and it will be sent to any .com that the user visits.
