  1. Laptops?? on Sony Axes eVilla, Offers Refund · · Score: 2

If I wanted a terminal in my living room, I'd mount a moniter, keyboard, & mouse to an old 300MHz processor to a small little linux box with KDE & Konqueror on it.

You can hide it all in a cabinet, run RJ45 under the carpet to it, making it a nice little kiosk, and all that would still be less than a laptop with a wireless connection....

Maybe even put in a touchscreen monitor instead of the keyboard & mouse.... hmmmmm....

I hate how people see professional coders as people that sit down and just start coding without any planning. I spend weeks designing before I start coding. I like having UML, sequence diagrams, and use cases before I write a line of code.
I've found that once I do this, I have very few errors (mostly typos). I used to do it the old way back in college, and, yeah, you get a million errors, but not if you use good design...

Lets look into the future. We have an image of the year 2003:

If you are contemplating releasing a product, you must first check with the patent offices (very minor, they let everything through), then to the RIAA and government to determine if it affects the music industry in any possible way. If it does, then you can't release it and all doc on it is incinerated. The RIAA also goes into research facility to determine if any scientist is using "Sound waves on the "air" medium (they patented that on Dec.14, 2002)", and any violators are sued, raped, then incinerated.
