The problem isn't the actuall riots, its that the rioters have no faith that the situiation will be handled properly by the goverment. You can kill every mouse that comes into your house or you could stop leaving food on the ground.
Good way to get protestors to arm themselves better; and i hope this means any pig that kills an inocent person should be executed on site and without trial aswell. People get involved in riots because its the only way to show the goverment they arn't happy (don't give me that go and vote stuff its an illusion of control). Sure i don't like the idea of the occasional bystander getting hurt but i much prefer it to everyone just bending over and taking it. We wouldn't be living the quality of life we are now if it wasn't for our ancestors rioting.
We cry "hey apple, why can't you do better?" because that is exactly what we want. We don't want to see them defeat the competition with a legal department over the fact they both unlock the screen similarly (which in honeycomb isn't slide to the left to unlock its slide in any direction from a certain distance). We want to see them bring a superior product to market, and you should want that too. You don't see the car industry fighting like this instead they embrace competition and race each other, then the technology from the race cars makes its way into our cars. I'm not sure but I don't think any one blocks competitors car imports because they used the same slightly slopping down bonnet, hump in the middle with four doors and a flat boot or the same placement and use of a horn; how hard would cars be drive if they all had to have a unique interface.
This is exactly what tfa said its not that apple is better or android does more. Its that you get a customisable open plan package you can individualise on android (if you can handle it) and the same easy to use simple package everybody gets with an apple on an ipad. Whoever turned it into a/. story is trying to start a war but the article was quite fair. It depends whether you want to tinker with the engine, install your own aftermarket steering wheel and slushy machine, or if you just want a car that will take you to the shops when you need milk.
Your right the technology isn't quite there yet, but its on its way, more importantly it could be incredibly useful. Even if a money grabbing corporate giant controlled it. A metaverse has no need to operate or look exactly like ours (just like computer desktops don’t operate like normal desks). You wouldn't walk out the front door then down the street to another company, you might open a magical door in the floor (maybe its a air gesture) that is a search engine and jump through a portal to a different planet that has the new manufacturer (where you can see and manipulate 3d versions of the products). Inside all these virtual stores you can have employee’s avatars help and advice you. I could be working in a New York software company writing software for a client in Italy while on my boat in the Caribbean. Now I don't give two hoots about buying a virtual Rolex for a pixel version of myself (although I’m sure people will do it); but I love the idea of telecommutes for all desk jobs; and any increase in the amount of information about the products for sale on the internet (3d scale manipulatable products, as well as access to the professionals working there) is very welcome.
It's almost set in stone that the iphone5 will use the A5 processor. That's if they can get it to stop over heating probably by underclocking it like the iphone4. Otherwise it would eat into their profits if they have to 'design' (find) a new chip (its possible they could give you a overclocked A4 to maximise profit). That said quad core 1.5ghz and 1.8ghz dual core chips will be showing up in phones around the same time.
The man is crazy or a troll. He claims his godly power is giving others godly powers and keeps talking about proving that he is god yet offers no proof whatsoever. The only statement even trying to be proof is when he says they have godly powers, so that means they must of gotten them from me (who says they didn't actually get them from me doctor max). Till i see this guy give some one godly powers (or a DNA test from one of his 1, 000, 000 babies) he is just looney or a troll. YouTube clip with the man claiming to be god and Jesus http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5H_kDC-rT8&feature=player_embedded (at least Jesus and god performed their own miracles and creations). Occam's razor would state that schizophrenia is more likely the case. That said the US patent system needs this to show how silly its becoming.
The newton pda was just a touch based organizer with a calculator in it. Windows pda/phone took it a lot further with the external applications you could find or make for the device and integrating phone functions (a lot closer to what the iphone is today than itself to the newton). Sure newton is a predecessor but I'm not disputing electronic evolution its you ifanatics that are claiming apple invented everything and every one else should stop copying them.
Secondly if you can't see that iphone is a simpler version of windows mobile (basically being stuck in all programs the whole time and only ever being able to run one program) i struggle to convince myself to reply to you.
Third all pre iphone smart phones had alright browsers, hell i didn't like the first iphone browser much at all, you can hardly say it was innovation.
Fourth half of your points are based around the point that they popularized capacitive touch (its not like they invented it) a technology that wasn't really possible when these phones were coming out (5 years ahead of the iphone) due to manufacturing techniques not available/affordable.
Fifthly all the pre iphone smart phones i had also had voicemail i don't understand why it being random-access, or that fact that the "phone manufacture defined the feature set" is all that great. Hardly an argument that its the mother of all all smart phones.
Android is closer related to windows mobile than ios (the front desktop with multiple widgets operating followed by being able to move to an all application page or settings).
So it comes down to a nice onscreen keyboard. Good on you apple surely you now own and are the creation of all smartphone os.
Evolution happened god damn it. I understand this wont convert you and no doubt tomorrow you'll log on to whatever ifan website you guys go to and read all the latest rumors and reason apple is the greatest and never bother to check out the competition; but please try to be a little open minded they aren't the only tech company out there.
The penalty is hardly the problem (they have quite serious penalties) its getting a conviction. Not only will the police destroy or lose any evidence against them (its a miracle that this guy got the sd card away). No police officer will ever corroborate with the public against another officer for fear of losing their job as they now know it (being given all the crappy shifts, no promotion, other cops hatting them and maybe even hurting or framing them). Throw in the fact that cops have extreme powers to find anything this guy did wrong (or trump up / frame) and the public have nothing. Not only that most the victims are poor and don't even have the resources to afford a proper defense. So then all you have is 3 cops saying this guy is guilty and one civilian saying he beat me up and i hadn't even done anything. Personally i think the answer is every cop should have a (or multiple) continues personal video feeds, backed up on the cloud at the crime and misconduct commission. These guys sign up to uphold the law its seriously disappointing thinking they can't practice what they preach; besides don't they keep saying only the guilty have anything to hide (should apply to them too).
Funny guy and refreshingly open minded. Its not always about resources though Tibet hasn't got much neither does Vietnam or Afghanistan (granted Iraq does); also japan and Osama could never of dreamed of taking America's resources (Osama did get the US to waste alot of them though) yet they were still at war. As for Switzerland you have to admit for a country with nothing to take they are doing pretty well for them selves, and i think that's partly by not wasting there limited resources on offensive wars.
Believe it or not world politics isn't like command and conquer, camping out does work quite well just ask Switzerland. The way to go would be spending the trillions they do on weapons on improving the world (maybe solving the worlds energy crisis) then no one would want to attack them.
Because if there was some way to run an arm chip at 250% you would end up using more power than an x86 chip that was naturally at that speed (and you would need really serious cooling; like putting it in a sealed plastic bag in your freezer). Arm is continuously designing more chips that run faster and one day may surpass x86 but not at the moment (and its still 32bit).
Your not understanding, every time apple changed platform they increased the performance and speed. In this case its the opposite (one day arm may be at a similar performance but not now). Much much harder to get an emulator to work on slower equipment. My analogy should of said its like trying to play a PlayStation game on a Nintendo 64. There is a reason apple used ios on the iphone and its not touch.
I wouldn't be surprised if the government insisted on not allowing humans override it, I believe this system is just a way to warn you about possible future collisions. Which i don't see a point wasting my money on cause i would still need to drive everywhere (bring on the computer chauffeur the advantages are endless).
Half of them were java so they were always going to work and the rest are done within an emulator (plus they had so few apps to work with). Nothing stopping an x86 emulator for windows arm however it wont be very efficient and arm is still quite low power.
It will be the same operating system that is running on the x86 desktop and laptop processors (that is the advantage full blown OS (also means you can have touchscreens on your classic style computing)). Its just that its been re-compiled for the different architecture and because all the legacy applications are compiled for the x86 platform it wont know how to use the arm processor. If you could get access to the binary of an older windows program it could be re-compiled for the platform. I'm really surprised this is news worthy did any one honestly think it was going to be backwards compatible? Its like trying to run a PlayStation game in an Xbox.
For example - "Pay for RAM, not speed. The speed of the computer chip does not matter; the attention-span or RAM memory does matter."
It should have been pay for discrete graphics not a super powerful processor. I know guys with little dual core 1.2 ghz playing the latest games all because of an alright graphics card, and that’s the most demanding thing your ever going to be doing. Spend your money on ram instead of the cpu is a 90's tip.
And really, other than commercial uses, why would you want the car to move without a person in it?
How about so after the car drops you off at work it can go and drop your kids of at school before meeting you at the office at 5. Also the option of being able to be dropped off at the door and the car go and find itself a car park.

If you can't do better then sue better.
Sorry wasn't logged in when i submitted my above comment.

and with only 8 minutes of hover time you would have to be pretty quick to fire it
