We have demonstrated anti gravity on mice. We could use hydrogen filled ballons or electromagnetic sled accelerators to launch stuff into orbit and built it up there. Thats if we can't get funding for a space elevator.

The laws of chemistry could have very little to do with interplanetary space flight (rockets is what the Nazis came up with 40 years ago). The problem with people like you is no imagination, until something is put in the newspapers or on slashdot it can't exist. Once we figure out how to revive people after cryogenic freezing any star is the limit. I wonder what people like you were saying about atomic energy before little and big boy.

I’ve got a similar situation on my electric bike it costs about $30 a year in electricity maybe $50 on new tires and accessories, and i get to work in 15 minutes. However i would still heavily consider working from home given the right setup even with a %10 pay cut.

This can be solved with technology. Setup a few xbox kinects maybe a projector and make a virtual office that everybody you work with can join. Plus the office could look like the middle of the desert or under the sea. Customers and contractors from around the world could visit you virtually and instantaneously.

Yeah but a view sonic gtab is dual core, can be overclocked to 1.5 ghz, and only costs an extra $50. I for one don't mind paying that for everything to be done 5 seconds quicker.

Why would you bother when you could get a viewsonic gtab for an extra $50, be 4 times as powerful and come with all the proper android pre-setup. Especially since the nook is using an ips screen so it doesn't even have the soft on the eyes e-reader appeal or work well outdoors.

  17. Re:Courier on Turning Your E-Reader Into a Cheap Tablet · · Score: 1

Not the e-reader in this question. Sure they call the nook colour an e-reader but its really just a low powered tablet cause its running an ips screen (same as the ipad). You may as well call the ipad an e-reader as well. If you want a tablet the last thing you should be doing is trying to covert a nook. Just go and buy a view sonic gtab much more powerful; comes with full android; and not much more expensive. and if you want a colour e-reader the last thing you should do is get a nook colour (you don't want anything back lit), wait for qualcomm to bring out the proper colour e-reader. If you could get rid of the gap between the screens of the courier (so it could be one big screen) then it would make a great tablet, but i agree terrible for e-reading.
