Yes this is fun, but as my physics teacher showed be sure to have lots of room (length) he ended up shooting through the door to the storage room and crashing. Good times.
the balloon is allways good. I had professors (the same one as the rocket chair i think) just do this from time to time for fun.
Giant bowling ball pentulums can be fun to.
A good one to talk about pressure and state changes is a long clear tube of water with an air space (evacuated i belive) seal the ends. Then suddenly throw it down wards with the one end straight up. the water will go to the top but not all of it can shift to to the vacum effect on the other end so there will be a low pressure zone in the middle of the water column, with the low pressure the water can boil at room temp. causing a explosion. The tube won't break but it's a fun thing to watch. Bout the only non boring thing i saw in a thermo class.
Well if it was a letter they didn't do anything to request I guess it could be.
Is there a definition of spam or a guideline that classifies something as spam?
When my Universities President sends an email it goes to 81,000 students, most the time it's something we don't care about. I guess that could be spam. I always think of it as spam.
Clippy pops up and says "I see it appears you want to go the bathroom" "would you like me to help you?"
you kill clippy
5 seconds later he re-appears "I know you need to go, I know better than you, you can't avoid this"
or the inverse of this. You try to click on outlook and the OS keaps moving your mouse away from the icon, then it stops, you go to try again and it throws your pointer across the screen. You go for the start menu and before you get there the taskbar hides.
..Want to see one swallowed by a whale. Imaging the face on the researcher. Then imagine the face on the whale when this thing expands it's ballast to rise.
Though this would make for an interesting part of ones thesis paper.
the connector shape is open to the manufature, the UPB2 spec is that the power connector have 1 positive and 1 ground, there is a later revision UPB2.1 that has a third lead ground, this was added for safety, if your manufature used the UPB2.1 standard it can support legacy UPB2 outlets with Vise-Grip TM conversion tool.
UPB3 spec is that there is a + - and common sometimes called by it's brand name "3 phase" (this was a name came up by WestingHouse and Tesla)
problem is true random ness is not possable. He/she could be following a pattern without being aware of it. And if the sniper is trying to be random probably in doing so is causing a pattern. Humans are way to predictable over a period of time.
pretty much any random way you could come up with of doing what he is doing could leave a pattern that someone would see.
though with that said even when you have a pattern going it's still really hard to refine to being able to knock on his door or no his next move.
Well I can tell you that using a prius to power your house is being worked on. Series hybrids are even better for this. Having a 100kw generator in the garage is very convenant.
Home and Auto power generation was melded, it was called the electric car and house. Similar to the NG powered car and house combos.
I agree, I love my Clie for it's size and looks and such. A keyboard would be nice. I think if they turned the space were you write gaffiti and those 4 buttons into a touch keyboard you use with the stylis it would be great. you would have the same functionality in the same space but be much faster to use. Gaffiti isn't bad but a keyboard would be nice. But not one they you use your fingers with. but one with small little letters/numbers/others you poke.
>>he new mac is now used in science and engineering by the academics as a computer of choice.
WTF engineers don't use Macs, we can't there is nothing we use avalible on Macs. Matlab has just been ported to OSX. Still why would we switch for that. Engineers use windows and solaris and AIX for cad and big modeling programs. Only if your an engineer of scientist with lots of money to burn would you get a mac. And engineers never have to much money around. our ESM departments new building has only macs, they are all pissed since they are worthless computers to them. (They had no choice in the matter).
I think something is messed up with your box. We have 3 passively cooled computers in the family, 2 IBM one HP. 2 of them are pII400's and one of the IBM's a 500 PIII, I don't think anything did passive cooling above this. Still i'm sure HP test it to work fine. Maybe something else has gone flaky with it or it's someplace it's not getting enough air. Also if it's that much of a proplem why don't you request a fan for the cpu or just spend a few bucks of your own to save you frustration and get a fan on it.
Now we need to get these 64bit chips out so we can start thinking about the 128 bit chips and argue over who makes the better desicions there.
so x86-128? that could be intersting

You haven't lived till you created plasma balls by shorting an AT power supply that was between your legs at the time. (this wasn't the intended goal)

How about looking in the trunk of James Bond's Austin Martin?

3M duct tape is so good because they invented the stuff, all others are nock offs. If it has a picture of a duck on it just walk away.
duct tape is good but has many flaws.
Best uses closing boxes
Straightening X-mas trees while their growing ( i grew up on a tree farm, works great)
well two actully UPB2 and UPB3

Yeah there was some sad results with the ZenoGraphs of x86 cpu's in apple mobos.
Just need to rear end the crown vic and they won't have time to worry about the pirate.
(the crown vic is a safe car, just in extreme cases has a liquid containment issue. still I had to say it)
can I triple my money betting on email #9 ?
She shot down a hidden passage and banked it off the blade of the knife
the impressive part is what she was doing with Mr. Body at the time and pulling of the shot
It's Mrs. White in the library with the revolver

you ever use a N64 controller. I swear who ever designed it had 3 hands.
It has three handles on it. I have vivid momories of stuggling playing "bond" freshmen year since you had to fight the controller as well.

Ok Thanks
You give hope that slashdot can be helpful and imformative
Good day sir
Why doesn't the Simpsons have it's own slashdot icon for stories on them?
"Jumped the shark" ? what does this mean
Seams like jumping a shark would be a very idea and cause your death, or maybe some human/shark freak people.

yeah no one wants to remember LiMEnux ever happened.
resulted in a bad foot injury.
