    Out in the sticks satellite is the only way to go for TV and Internet. I have a Free Dish DVR and a $200 Wildblue intenet dish. I few more solar panels and a windmill and I will be completely Wireless.

    Dell is also still selling PCs with XP-SP2 installed as well as OS-free PCs. Just bought a laptop with XP and a Ubuntu Server. Completley Vista-Free. I purchased another laptop this time last year that came with XP installed and a Vista upgrade disk, Its still sitting on the shelf, I should install it to my shredder. Linger-Longer!!!

    I think that both PALM and WinCE Phone PDAs hace had touch-screen keyboards since they first came out. The Thumb keyboard on my Trea is very easy to use. I also have a full sized IR keyboard that is very fast to use in meetings. I would like to buy an Ipod Touch with 80GB HD and a Office Suite.

    Did anyone notice that the article has a picture of a Zune with a Skull and Bones on it? It sounds like the service uses WMA files with a different encryption. Should be easy to record with Audacity on another PC.

    It seems almost perfect. What other Apps can it run?
    The picture shows a Calender Icon. Can it Sync with outlook?
    It needs Bluetooth for wireless headphones, but it does not to prevent you from web surfing on a standard phone.

    That one percent was referring to natural gas. If you go down to the section titled - Transportation Uses Lead Growth in Liquid Fuels Consumption - you will see it says: Most of the increase is in the transportation sector, which is projected to account for 73 percent of total liquid fuels consumption in 2030, up from 67 percent in 2005 (Figure 82).

    A country full of Priuses for people going to and from work would make a difference. I still think rechargeable electrics will eventually win.

    I love my Tapwave Zodiac: you get a nice 4 inch wide screen, Stereo Speakers that are quite loud, 2 SD card slots for 8Gb of total (2x4Gb SD cards when used with Fat32 Driver) storage, Bluetooth, and a 4-5 hour play time. Use Core Media Player and pocketDiVXencoder for video. You can encode movies down to 200Megs. Bluetooth GPS. I Use LJZ for Console emulation of GB, NES, SNES, Gen, NGP, WS,and TG16. There are also some SD games(Doom,DukeNukem,SpyHunter,Galactic realms, and Legacy). There is also a free version of Quake and Hexen avaliable. Also there is a version of SCUMM VM.

    Its also a Palm PDA so you have a Office suite with Document To Go, and a few Web browsers that work with a Bluetooth Phone. Sync with Outlook(not my choice, thats what the USAF makes us use). It also nice because you can play MP3s while running other applications with very little slow down.I can also take my SD card from my camera and view the pics and vids with out any reformating. Its hard to call this a "PDA", its trully a small tablet computer. --

    It as much the fault of the users who have their XM units set to the NPR Freqs. The frequency is manually set by the user, and newer units can cover more of the band than older ones. Of course in some areas(OKC) NPR is on 3 different college stations so it easy to accidentally step on one.

    The Serial port in the PSone and the HardDrive for the PS2 enabled easy Pirating of Games and may have contributed to their removal.

    This system specs seem more like an updated version of the old HP Jornada 820 I've used for the last 6 years. A tough little Laptop with no Spinning Harddrive, I've added a CF WI-FI and a 4 GB PCcard Flash drive card. Only thing I had to replace was the battery a couple years back.

    I downloaded one of each browser:
    Firefox 2.0 was installed to 6 Win2K PCs
    IE 7 was installed to 1 new XP laptop
    Hardly seems fair to count downloads
