If you liked the first few chapters of BHOT (the historical stuff, I think the book was re-arranged, so I don't know where he put it), check out "A Short history of nearly everything" by Bill Bryson. Very good. As the title suggests, more on more things, developments in chemistry, biology, geology, physics, et al and Bryson keeps it very interesting. Don't bother with the abridged audiobook though (the unabridged is read by the author and is basicallly word for word)
You know, Ben would find it much easier to "drop fucking dead" if you shot ben with a 12 gauge slug. Ben's body armor, if he had any, wouldn't help Ben either. Throw down $300 for a semi auto 12 gauge and $10 for a box of 5 3" slugs and go help Ben. I'm guessing Ben's successor might be a little more careful and might tone it down with the lawsuits, if not, a $200 rifle can be used. Again, body armor or ballistic glass doesn't do much against that that kind of round. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product _id=3138424
I'd guess they just blew up a similar plane / cut into the fuselage for the movie. Either that or broke it up to fit into shipping containers and shipped it. It might of have just been cheaper to use one of the other planes in the boneyard.

ATI's drivers will do strange things if you don't uninstall the existing driver before updating.
I've had to reinstall once or twice because an update fucked up the system so much that booting into the "last known good" set wouldn't allow you to login or would hang on boot.
It isn't like ATI is a company to model your drivers after though. Better now, but completely shitty in the past. Demon spawn indeed. Their windows drivers are fucking atrocious.
They are running these settlements like your average inbound call center. Unskilled labor (ok, maybe budding law students) answering calls with no lawyers to be seen.
Good luck calling and speaking to an actual lawyer.
And why not? Nobody challenges it (ok, 2 in 10,000, but let's be fucking realistic, that is basically "nobody"), if you can save money by using someone who gets paid minimum wage +$1 (plus a modest commission), why not?
Of course, if a company can be so arrogant (mass mailings, as well as the bullshit they pull when they get sued for price fixing time after time), it shows that there is clearly something wrong with the legal system. Up to this point, there really wasn't anyone abusing it to this extent against the average joe, maybe there will be some backlash and something good can come out of this.
Either that, or some mentally ill person will crack and go on a shooting spree at RIAA headquarters or their call center. Both would work for me.

Well, when I set it up it was "use the hardware I had" as opposed to getting the 250 (which I understand is kind of hard to find now because so many people want them) I was using the pcHDTV(TM) HD-3000 (the one the eff reccomended which avoided the broadcast flag). Didn't work 100% of the time and no errors popped when it didn't.
To be fair, while building it, I came across a whole bunch of other problems (bad ram, a hard drive that was funky, video card was a pos), but it really bugged me that I had spent 20+ hours setting up a glorified VCR.
With KnoppMyth, you probably would get running in 20 minutes with your setup. (so yeah, everyone else who is reading this, get the 250 or some hardware from their tier 1 list, save yourself some angst)

Maybe it is just me, but I don't feel like installing 3 distros and spending hours trying to get some hardware to work, sometimes "just fucking works" is nice.

Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to a pattern of complaints and unanswered complaints.
Specifically our files show a pattern of complaints alleging dissatisfaction with product quality, failure to deliver promised goods, service issues, misrepresentation in advertising and marketing practices and the failure to address and overcome the basic cause of complaints brought to their attention by the Better Business Bureau.
Complaints allege customers are led to believe they are buying new, Brand Name computer systems, parts and other products with either a 90-day, or 1 year warranty. Complainants allege they are receiving generic, defective and refurbished items and only a 30-day warranty with the option to purchase the 1-year warranty. Customers who purchase the warranty also experience difficulty in getting return phone calls to get the problems fixed or replaced. Customer are told they may return the items for replacement, but they will need to pay again for the replacement and will credited back when the item is returned and received by the company.
Some of the complaints have issues with the advertised rebate, both the catalog and web site have numerous offers for items with a mail-in rebate. Upon receiving the products the rebate application is not included in the package. Customers are told the rebate application is on the website and customers are required to comply with the program and submit paperwork that they never received. Many are denied because the product they have purchased does not have the advertised rebate, the rebate has expired, and some rebates are only good if the item is purchased with a computer. Many customers feel they have been victims of bait and switch, and are unable to return the products because the package has been open. Customers who have contacted customer service with concerns have problem with getting return calls, emails, and experience unresponsiveness and unconcerned customer service staff. d
