    IIRC only the data display module was running on windows, not the controlling part. My father works in a medicine factory and you wouldn't believe how entreched Windows is there.

    I don't know what language you speak, but a lot of software (even some commercial ones) have a half assed Hungarian localisation. So I have a lot of mixed language software on my computer.

    Set against that on the sci-fi side, Star Wars fits perfectly into your description of fantasy.

    A lot of people think (me included) that Star Wars is fantasy.

    My family is a member of the reformed church, and the church tax is about $10 for a year per adult. (Hungary) Actually, if you want to be a member any kind of club which has to rent rooms, you have to pay a membership fee.

    "Any christian church, any fits that description. So do some flavors of Judaism and Islam."

    They want to control your mind, but they're quite modest with money. You can learn everything about these religions, without getting in debt. And there are no restricted scriptures, everything is accesible to newbs as well. That's a huge difference.

    IIRC the Greek also did this around 1000-2000 BC, not mentioning the Huns, Mongols, Scythians, Hungarians and other nomadic tribes.
