Good advice, except a little late. In most districts whoever is on the ballot now is all there is going to be for this year, Pick your poison/evil is all that's left.
I don't like Apple products that much (especially QuickTime and the Shiny iWhatever products) but i fail to see why a grading system would need a Video/Audio decoder.
Thus, Proving that the score is useless MS Marketing BS. The score should reflect your hardware capabilities regardless of which version you have licensed as it should be encouraging someone with starter to say upgrade to a higher version since it can support it, this is one of the reasons i don't like the whole Vista OS (yes 7 is just a patched version of Vista) - Still using XP for my win partition (Win7 Ultimate is just slower for most games)
I just serviced a user's B/W Laser LexMark Printer (network config issue) While looking at it i noticed the Toner Low/Out lamp illuminated. So i printer the Printer's internal test page and stated 90% Toner / 80% Conductor (WTF?!)
I asked the user how long the lamp had been active, just started since August they said.
I fired out another printer page and checked again (90% Toner), Removed/Re-inserted light went off then came back on. (???)
I then noticed something on the test print... The cartridge Mfg. Date was 08/??/2009 (Ah Ha.) I remember reading somewhere recently about printer vendors like HP, Lexmark, Epson, etc... were using time-bomb code in the cartridge to disable them and say they are low when they are not (ever notice how toner cartridges that are empty still have plenty of powder left?)
So these Fuckers have decided (that since cartridges have 1 year War.) that they will lie about the low/out lamp just because the month rolled over from July to Aug. and the cartridge was purchased 1 year ago.
These people have NO honesty left so fuck'em! (besides Lexmark print quality sucks compared to an HP especially color)
What?? HDMI cables do not have to be short, I use a $90 HDMI over Cat-5e converter box over 70-feet and run 1080p @ 120hz to my 60" LCD with no problems. And that's with (1) 10' HDMI cables, (2) 1.5' Cat-6 into (2) Cat-5e jacks with RJ-45 crimped on the other end to the converter with another 10' HDMI cable.
Really short??? And USB is way lower bandwidth than HDMI.
It's OK, They will drill another Black-Hole to relieve the pressure They said it will be cleaned up soon, they promised and everything when it it was only 500 Light-Years wide.
Get a fax machine and don't answer incoming calls for 2 weeks, They will eventually realize (most of the time anyway) that that number is not a phone.
Or you could just update your cox account number with their phone number (preferably the CEO or even the local manager) then get others to do the same. (if they want to be like that, send it back 10-fold)
Except according to the summary (nobody reads the article) some of the persons making the profit are mob run, Single Mothers, poor college students, and elderly persons won't cut any extremities off with a power saw or put the Mafiaa Execs. in concrete shoes at the bottom of a lake/river or make them and their associates disappear forever.
Tape Drive fails you get another one, not to mention you should have already had one on hand for backup and periodically check them on another driver to verify there are no alignment errors. (even if it is single manual-load verses library auto-load)
Hard Disks? You do know they have to be spinned up every so ofter or they can fail (tapes are designed to be stored for long periods) Not to mention i can drop an LTO cartridge and only have to re-seat the leader pin. Also Hard disk tech also falls out of style (try to find a PCI-E MFM drive controller now.)
CDs/DVDs? I remember being told when they came out they would be readable in 20yrs yet the die starts degrading and can make them un-readable in 5-10yrs.
Microsoft? WTF, You mean the update service that takes 15-30 damn minutes to determine that i don't have the 800KB WGA.dll file version up to date before i can install any other updates. I don't think that has anything to with CDNs at all, their update site is just damn sloppy. (BTW that's on a 21M Tier1 T3 so bandwidth is not the problem)
Apple - Don't use it so i wouldn't know Symantec - Other than the crappy AV software it "was" updating, LU updates download just fine (and fast) RedHat - RPM repos work fine. Microsoft - don't make me laugh to hard at MS Update being the slowest damn thing ever.
Try slipstreaming SP into CD and install fresh from that, Had BS issues when trying XP RTM and then installing SP2 to build image a few years back but sliptreaming worked fine.
Charges can not be pressed for "Civil" matters, Copyright infringement/DMCA Violations are a "Civil" matter, not a "Criminal" one. They could sue Rockstar and Rockstar can counter-sue them for the crack in the first place.
Maybe they can sue each other and reach a settlement of amnesty and just ignore each others infractions, Rockstar could win for them creating the crack then they can win for Rockstar using their software and intentional distribution of said software (alot more intentional distribution than the pirating of the game)
Replacement every 2 years is not that bad when machines cost less than $400, maybe when desktops cost over the $2000 mark but now they are almost disposable.
MS does have design problems and no one will take them seriously on security, Even if they did take it seriously the reputation would take a long time to recover. Giving how they are concentrating more on pretty/glossy interface in vista/7 over usefulness i won't take them seriously anytime soon.
Apple has it's strengths but they are just too expensive, charging over $1500 bucks for 4GB ram for a desktop when the exact same f---ing RAM can be bought with the same specs/model number (minus the almighty apple logo sticker over it) from a general supplier for $200 just shows you buy into status rather than anything else.
Even the Linux folks get on my nerves sometimes, If i want to run my Nvidia card with the "proprietary" driver installed from the manufacture because it works and gives me stuff the OSS one does not, so be it. Proprietary can co-exist with OSS you know. (stop with the everything must be free and done this way speech sometimes)
There is no right answer to any of this you pick and use what works.
ESXi can also install and boot directly off a USB drive "officially" starting with 4.0 (somewhat more complicated and un-supported with 3.x but is doable) Get a good 4-8GB USB stick and it should fit a small virtual HDD for your guest.
Not sure about hardware support with home consumer models, but it does have a lot of built-in recognized support for Dell/HP desktops (and laptops according to others)
There may be some EULA issues with distribution, last time i read through it fully there was mention of restrictions concerning re-selling/hosting (don't think this applies in this situation but IANAL)
If a game can send a "text" file to open up port automagically, so can any malware or malicious site. You could implement a list of "approved" games but then who maintains a list, rejects/accepts entries, etc...?
Zeroconf is the fisrt damn thing i turn off on our network printers, don't want it advertising and publishing info to any idiot who can plug into an outlet. Not to mention the MDNS traffic it generates.
For about $900-1200 (or more, but under 3K) i could buy a full convertible Tablet PC with 80GB+ of storage, way more than a 1000 sheets of paper and not need for $5K printer.
Just another cool, but useless very expensive tech fad of the week to show off with (almost just like the Tablet PCs, but they are least usefull in other ways)

Windows is not fit for "life-critical safety systems" read that EULA again, Windows should not have been running this system (if it was)

All my Switches/Routers run at least 12.1 or higher, why would i downgrade them.
Seriously though, how long until cisco looks to get another trademark settlement out of Apple?

How can a Mac from 2001 (which is pre-Intel) run the "latest OSX" (10.6) which is Intel only?

Stop questioning the Apple religious movement propaganda, they don't like it.
That's "sudo apt-get install dystopian-copyright-protection" dumbass.
Also, "Couldn't find package dystopian-copyright-protection"
1100?? You must be referring to the original house version, the senate took it up to 2900 (without the "fix-it" part)

According to the link there is no section 3D, however "Sec. 4. States Secession prohibited."
