So far they refuse to allow it, but you can set them up and run them side by side so use the solar power for some things but it can't connect back to the grid in any form or fashion, therefore it doesn't really negate anything. Newegg's blog stated their CPU and barebone sales have been up the lasts 3 years as more and more pc users put their own systems together and know what they want.

If Dell, Compaq, Acer went out of business it wouldn't harm PC users one bit, we still buy our parts and put them together ourselves.

PC sales are not down, go read the blogs of companies that sell these parts and barebone systems. Sales are only down for the shit systems that corporate buys in bulk like Dell/Acer/Compaq
This is a large reason why Amateur radio operators exist, they could have simply contacted the ARRL and several of the local clubs would have activated to provide emergency radio communication.
I know our town has had several training drills with us local hams, with the 911 system, We have setup a backup amateur radio station at the 911 office in case of major problems the hams show up and control the station from the 911 center acting as the nerve center. Then other hams in the club get stationed around at locations needed/required by local agencies and provide communication until problems are resolved.
This wouldn't have been a problem at all if they would have used the system that has been in place for decades the Amateur radio community, who are mandated to provide emergency radio communication.

but it works, and I keep it for emergency purposes. Few years ago my town was without power for 5 days after a Hurricane came through southern Ga. So I connected the freezer/fridge duo to a propane tank and was able to keep most my food from spoiling.

I write scripts for second life, it's actually a pretty decent side income and meet a lot of cool people, course I mainly use it for writing scripts and challenging myself and I do enjoy the live concerts, I could care less for everything else.
There was a sweet Transformers Mush and a Star Wars Mush I played occasionally I think it was called transformers2025 or something like that. It's been so long.
I also remember the days when Powwow chat was popular and it was so awesome you could see the other person type in real time:)

there is no real content anymore, it's all copycat content for the sole purpose of monetize it and spam it out there to get hits and make money, it's no longer about what you enjoy it's about spam.
when the internet content became more about spam and less about content that's when I turned to piracy, and adblocking 100%

I created a "drone" in mush script that would go to the areas ahead of me to scout for danger before I would enter the area.
And pc games are backwards compatible all the way back :)

or I can copy Dos 6 to a usb flash drive and boot to real dos and play it
