    the winner is the owner of the power plant. Every participant will need to waste power to create coins.

    so i need to pay for power to create a coin. but can you use the coin to get money back the same way? no. you can only hope somebody wants to exchange the coin with you for some good. if noone wants to, its worthless.

    it's called semantic markup. a div is semantic-neutral, i.e. p says "this is a paragraph" and header says ... its a header. so a non-css browser can render a fallback, looking like the semantics suggest it could be looking

    just tested shotwell: -it does not support png (wtf?) -the "improve" option sharpens the image without any options or preview wtf, shotwell seems even worse than f-spot. gthumb was pretty good, though.

    face recognition can only authenticate, but not decrypt, because you cannot turn a face into a password, because there is no mapping function, which gets always the same hash for the same face. so the password must be stored somewhere as plaintext to decrypt the data once the user is authenticated.

    NoScript does not need Flashblock. Enable Noscript plugin-blocking, and you get a flashblock-like function.

    ReiserFS is good in scrambling your data if the pc crashs. Had an ReiserFS failure in an overheated notebook. all ext3 partitions without error, the reiserfs completly fucked up.

    its a nice fast backup. but deleting old "volumes" is a pain in the ass. it takes hours on an ext3 filesystem. deleting duplicity-volumes is much nicer.

    its pretty pointless to prosecute botnet-nodes or try to find all people participating in a DDoS to sue them. But if you can find out, who called them to DDoS you, you can get him prosecuted for the calling.
