    they are a meta-search, and one of the sources is bing. and this is not scraping, they are cooperating there. And as their own crawler is still small and sources like wikipedia, python-documentation, etc. are not contributing to the most searches, most often the results are just bing results. But as long as they are usable, why not. So its mostly just a bing without usertracking.

    data caps are only relevant for mobile internet, and there the flash support is already lousy. on android it does not work really good, on the iphone, it does not work at all.

    i know quite a few sites, which detect my adblocker and display some annoying notice. i just adblocked the notice as well (adblock element hiding helper ftw).

    And if they really do not display the video, there will soon be some userscript or something, which fakes the ad-loading and does not display the loaded ads. When the site is big enough, there will always be countermeasures, if its not big enough, they cannot risk losing users. So its still a rabbit and hedgehog problem.

    just three values: unset, track-me, do-not-track-me

    then you can pressure the ad-companies to intrepret "unset" as "do not track me", and force them to honor "do not track me".

    the anonymous nets are still small. because there is still not enough pressure to force the people to be anonymous, normal filesharing is still safe enough for most of them. When everyone will be caught and prosecuted, then everyone will use anonymous tools.

    ddg sets no cookies with unique ids, so they cannot really track you for longer than to the next ip change (so approximate 24 hours only)

    maybe you have witnesses, who know you did not have the computer used in the way as its after reformatting? They can witness how the computer used to be, then an expert looks at its current state ... this would be to obvious. but planting some files on a computer with an existing system would work even in that case.
