No, this needs clarification. The service where you access hotmail from outlook and outlook express is free if you were using it in the past before MS made it a paid service.

Actually, I am a mac user/developer and I expect the number of Mac worms to increase by 5-10 times the current amount. I dont want to agree with windows fanboys, but have to admit this. This really a cuse for alarm. The number of worms will increase by at least 5x and millions of mac users are not protected.

  22. WOW Macs have BIOS!! on Ubuntu, Macintosh and Windows XP · · Score: -1, Redundant

To quote the "article" I have owned several Macintosh computers. I had new world and old world bios machines including several older 6500s, 7600s, etc.. Wow, I didn't know Macs used BIOS and on top of that there were new and old ones. Maybe that is why it was such a big deal when someone got XP running on a Macintel. You learn something new on slashdot everyday.

I always thought BIOS was an intel thing. Oh well, I guess Open Firmware never caught on in the mac world.

Ugh. If this was a typo, it would be one thing. I mean the old world and new word ROMs have nothing to do with bios. Old and New both have Open Firmware. What on earth is this person talking about? I think others have already ripped this thing to shreds. Reading the first few paragraphs was enough for me.

It would be interesting to know how many other people actually got what you meant by ipod is like an eight track. After looking at the wikipedia article (linked for anyone else who might be intersted) I actually thought you meant it was an inexpensive portable. You may as well have been taking about records and wax cylinders on a gramaphone.

And looking at how big a deal it was getting OGG working oh a portable (what was it? a floating point issue?) , it is really not worth the extra cost. Of the few people who even know what OGG is, fewer have OGG files even fewer will buy ipods. Do you see how in apple's eyes, it is basically some obscure format no one really uses?
