Seasonticket.com was the dot com I worked with. Lots of money for an idea that wasn't going to fly at a time when broadband wasn't common. Management had some issues too. Firing your IT director and replacing him with a guy who guts the staff to give his buddies jobs probably isn't the best idea.
I really enjoyed this game and the previous game "Morrowind".
That said, the biggest annoyance was the lack of decisions you can make during a quest. The quests and dialog choices are on rails. If a quest has an objective, often you have to perform that objective to the letter. There were many times during the game where I would have liked to betray someone, perform a quest in a different manner or just flat out refuse to do something. Each time I found the game pushing me down a specific path. While I love the world exploration aspect of this game, it lacks some of the role playing experience I've had in games like BG: II or Planescape Torment.
I agree. I've seen many people exploit these skills with great results. I've often thought I could do better career wise by a little ass kissing, bullshit, and conformity. Although the best skill is probably either being a friend or a relative of the boss.
Maybe if Miramax didn't chop up HK films there wouldn't be such a problem. I bought "Fist of Legend" on DVD after seeing the Chinese version. After watching it and seeing it wasn't the original movie I began a search. Finally I found the original for sale on E-Bay and bought it. If Miramax hadn't made changes to the orignal film I wouldn't have even bothered.

I had Sprint and after having them overcharge me, flat out tell me things that were not true, I gave them the boot. I had to call them multiple times when they failed to fix their mistakes. They still owe me $15.
A year ago they didn't even have hold music. When you called up customer support you got a minute long looping message about the wonderful services of Sprint. The average hold time was about 30 minutes. As you can imagine that can drive you insane.
I used to work at Windows Update. Akamai is a seperate company that hosts some MS content. If I remember correctly some MS big shot has investments in it.

You should try the Thief series. I just finished the second one. Even though they are old and don't sport fancy graphics they are awesome games. I also loved Deus Ex and played it twice. After the second time I needed more. Thief filled that. There are many different routes you can take to finish objectives. I love sneaking up behind guards and knocking them out, using rope arrows, and water arrows. Or when I'm pissed, just going for the silent kill with an arrow to the back of the head.
I have an Epson Stylus 640. When I first bought it, the printer worked fine. Sure it's a few years old but now it never seems to work right. Colors will be missing from pages, or the output will look horrible or corrupted. I've run all of the cleaning and other printer utillities many times. Sometimes it helps but often it doesnt.
I really want to get a new printer but all the ones I've had up to now have gone to crap in a short period of time.
It would limit the range but it seems to me this would work better if you used it with a wireless connection to a more powerful computer. Then you wouldn't be limited by the wearable's hardware or software capacity.
Also I think they should work on making this less obvious. If they could get this into a normal looking pair of glasses or sun glasses with a switch between a translucent, a uninhibited data view and a uninhibited natural view, then I could see this taking off. A mouse pointer controlled by eye movement would be even better.
A wireless data connection is the big missing piece here.
I see lots of people saying, "Well you need English" and "Colleges teach you how to learn".
My question is.. well what the hell was I doing in the 13 years of school before that? Most of the general classes I took in college were a rehash of the things I learned from 3rd grade on.

I think this is a great idea for out of print books. Some of the lesser known or less popular Sci-fi books you just can't find anymore. Seen Larry Niven's Inferno anywhere lately? How about Phillip Jose Farmer's Riverworld or The World of Tiers series? Used book stores if your lucky.
5 billion years into our future (if we last that long). You might find our descendants creating life much in the same way we were created. They wouldn't be static creations and they would evolve to adapt to thier environment and wisdom. The creations would look up in the sky and wonder how they came to be. And the creator may respond with a small message, maybe one of hope or love. The message might be passed down from generation to generation. And the message itself might evolve too to fit the whims of the people or thier rulers. But it wouldn't matter if the message was used for bad or good, or the people did bad or good things. This is too be expected, because yin can't exist without yang. And maybe the creator would be wise enough to know this and let them live on with thier free agency, to choose thier own paths.

So *why*, exactly, don't you just turn off the politics section in your preferences?
