Google has announced that after 10 years a carbon-neutral company, it will be able to brag running on entirely renewable energy at the end of 2017. That means that all of the electricity the company consumes in both its data centers and offices are provided by wind and solar energy.
So this doesn't include fuel for google street view cars, manufacturing processes for the Pixel phone, Google home and other hardware, etc.
Google is nowhere near 100% renewable yet.

Facebook allows the option of targetted areas down to 5km radius for advertisers, so they can easily comply with local govt censorship if they want to. You won't even notice.
That's not the case here. The extra installed battery capacity is perfectly fine, and under normal conditions, Tesla will allow you to unlock it for a fee.
It is just part of their business model that they purposely cripple the hardware because they know that for the most part eventually their users will get peeved at the limited mileage and pay to unlock the extra battery capacity.

This is the most obvious and likely correct reason: in order to get a 17% female tech workforce, facebook must be scouring the earth to find females to hire in the name of gender diversity, because universities just don't graduate a high proportion of female CS majors. And that is because female's aren't choosing careers in that area.
When you are hiring people just because of their gender, this means that people who are manifestly inadequate to the task at hand will get their code rejected more often.
I'm willing to bet money that if the data is broken down, the top female developers will get their code through at the same rates as the top male developers (which incidentally would prove no gender bias). But the female stats get skewed as an aggregate because the "long tail" group of developers with lots of code rejections have many poorly skilled female developers whereas men with similarly poor skills would never get hired at facebook in the first place.
Which makes the argument that yes - if you don't blindly vote Democrat, you can no longer call yourself gay.

Not quite - the best science can ever do is create a model that has predictive accuracy. That is - a model that successfully describes the universe given the data that is available, but also successfully predicts the universe when new data becomes available.
That is what Einstein did with relativity: he created a model that explained known data, but also predicted effects such as gravitational lensing and Mercury's perihelion wobble before the technology existed to allow those effects to be observed. It is the reason Einstein was a great scientist.
It is for this very reason that while I consider Newton a great mathematician, I only consider him a good scientist.
