    And by law, for anything to be valid, it must be documented. If there is a verbal NDA, its not valid in court, unless there is audiotapes. Then again, that might not be the legal standard.
    Signing a NDA means if they go to court, and claim you broke it, and there is possibilties that things might look like it, you have problems. If you did not ever sign one, they can't do that.

    While it might seem obvious now, now that Android has a decent looking Ecosystem. But look at this, in 2-3 months time, perhaps Microsofts stratergy regarding how to handle its Xbox live intigration with phones, might pay off? Perhaps some of us will get a Windows Phone, merely to get access to the markedplace.
    This seems to be a case of hatching a egg to get a chicken, too stave away that pesky chicken and the egg problem. Of course, it might also fail, this is Microsoft and Nokia, with Nokia as the bottom and possible losing chesspiece in a match.

    While we are first at it, how is the 32/24-bit support for the images? I mean.... for so long, the 16-bit limitation has been a serious disadvantage.
    Things GIMP needs to do:
    1. 32-bit support for images
    2. Buildt inn Normal Map plugin
    3. Buildt inn direct X image support, patents be damned
    4. Finally finish of the fight with the monster GEGL, how many years has it been? For a saga, a few months is ok, but not years.

Since they experience earthquakes large enough to cause an automatic shutdown at least a couple of times a month they can't rely on nuclear for base line power. Even in the UK which is largely free from seismic events we don't rely on it.

    And what happens in the Coal plants? Severe explosions?

    Repeat after me: "Attempting to make a stupid standard a standard instead of enforcing a smart moral". We already have enough deaths caused by drivers who lacks severe amount of driving skill, lacks attention spawn, does not stay far behind other cars when in high speed, ignoring the pedestrians, and can barely give appropiate warnings.
    Adding false noise is just another excuse to be lazy, instead of learning how to appropriately use the cars horns, and not stopping when people attempt to jaywalk at places where there are no normal crossings. I don't want to know how many drivers there are on the road that should not even be driving, but to excusing them is inexcusable.

    Copyright laws was invented to deal with plagiarism, in a age where just going to the next town was a extremely horrible and long adventure. If somebody claimed to be the author of your book, and sold it, he could also claim all the honour, awards, and money.
    Copyright laws is still needed to deal with this, but the 1800's copyright laws are overengineered for a problem it is no longer adressing.

    Which you only say until you realize there is different keyboards. So is the USER using a QWERTY US keyboard, a QWERTY SE keyboard, some dvorak layout, AZLEF, or anything else? A notorious example is applications that really in the tilde key being present, a key which is sometimes not present on some layouts, making for example console in games rather unaccesable.

    This already happens once in a while with banks. Basically all transfers by accident gets sent to the same account. So after a few hours, that person is quite rich.
    Of course, they have routines for catching this, because they know it will happen, so when they catch it after a few hours, and correct it.

    As far as I know, most western countries have a policy that states "If a man will be executed upon being sent to a country, you are not allowed to send this man to the country, nor are you allowed to deport him to a country that may deport him to the country in question", or something similar. Disregard the lack of Lawyer shargon, but instead: Why was this rule not followed?

    You should visit Bergen some time, the city where it rains the most and the second most rainy location in Norway.
    Even during vinter it has a severe humidity, and 2-3 degrees means that even if water doesn't freeze, its too cold.

    Its the US goverments job to ensure that if they arrest somebody, they don't starve to death waiting for trial.
    By the same principle: If I accuse somebody of a crime, to harm their corporation, I must be fully liable for all damage, and the prosecturs must be fully liable for all damage they cause.

    It wouldn't surprise me if it did.
    Asbestos was a godsend back in its day. Solid, easy to use, fireproff, etc. Turns out that if you breathed it, it stuck and behaved like glass shards.

    Ireland is the last free country untainted by the Western Empire in the Western Empires island group.. Scotland is occupied and hence a part of it, and so it Northen Ireland.
    But Ireland itself is free, and most likely they refuse extradition requests merely "for the evulz".
