You do have something to hid: Your business. It's not Their business. Keep it that
way. Pretty soon it will become Their business to know your business and you won't be
able to stop them. They will want to know what medicines you take, what time you have
sex, what books you read, etc. The TSA probably already collects that information.

Sorry, I was referring to the constitution, not the LAW. The "exclusive right is transferable"
is not in the constitution but was a property that was made up later. It does not become
part of the constitution even if the law is ruled constitutional. In fact, later court cases
might render it unconstutional - though that is doubtful.

If you are interested in "abstract" mathematics, rather than applied mathematics you might as well continue on to grad school. Once you get a job it is hard to continue on to a masters and doctorate.
You will find you don't have time. In my opinion most jobs available to a 4 year degree person majoring in mathematics would be fairly low level mathematics - at least one with no experience. I doubt that the "actuary" carreer path mentioned in previous posts uses much math beyond calculus and simple statistics. Again, in my opinion, most theoretical math work is done at universities or government sponsored labs and they would require a degree beyond a four year degree.

I think the decline of social clubs and organizations has been going in for many
decades. I would blame, not the Internet but Television, The Interstate highway
system, and Subburbs. I think they are way our of date in their study. There
used to be tons of social networks, organizations and support groups in society.
Now days no on belongs to them. E.g., the Jaycees, The Odd fellows, The Daughters
of the American Revolution, other civic organizations, etc. If I were dictator
of this country, I would ban Television.

    Quote from Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_capital
Social capital "refers to the collective value of all 'social networks' and the inclinations that arise from these networks to do things for each other," according to Robert Putnam, author of Bowling Alone and the concept's leading exponent (though not its originator). According to Putnam and his followers, social capital is a key component to building and maintaining democracy. Putnam says that social capital is declining in the United States. This is seen in lower levels of trust in government and lower levels of civic participation. Putnam also says that television and urban sprawl have had a significant role in making America far less connected.

Actually, that is how you get to understand the problem - by trying things. All the computer modeling in the world is just theory if you really don't understand it. If you really understand it enough to model it properly then it is probably not really a problem, just an exercise. - in my opinion. Please don't disparage throwing stuff at the wall. I have a Palm TX that is great for (short small) notes too. However, I would not dream of using it for a class where I have to take 20 filled-up 8.5x11 pages of notes in one class period. First of all the screen is way too small, second, I would destroy the touch screen with all that note taking. You mention GUI based drawing tools, they are fine for straight lines (E.g., Visio) but mice and track balls and pads, etc do not have near the dexterity that a pen does. (Much less a brush.) I know people who do artwork - for a living - on computers but they generally do it with professional quality tools, not the junky input devices on a laptop. If your iPAQ suits you for note taking then great. I just personally would not want to use it. Thank you for your input.
