They weren't doing their job because that was the administrative philosophy at the time. So, they *were* doing their jobs. Let the Free Market work it out, remember?
While the bill is campy and fun, it does promote science and learning in an interesting way. You can bet that hundreds of science teachers will do a quick lesson on this microbe and why it's so valuable to their state economy.
That stupid country is costing the world economy BILLIONS with their stupid volcanoes. Can't they just pour some snow or ice into the volcano and cool it off? WTF is the point in calling yourself Iceland if you don't have enough ice to do that?
All of the obvious spam messages that seem to have a practical chance of garnering hits is getting detected now. The only way to get through is to use some obfuscated content that a reader is much more likely to either detect as spam or so obscure that the email doesn't interest the reader. I can't imagine the spam business is very good anymore.
...from the documentary The Fog of War, the combination of human fallibility and nuclear weapons means there WILL be an accidental discharge eventually. And, he should know. His entire life was a mistake.
I'm a new motorcyclist as well and that's the most important thing to learn. People nowadays are stupid and selfish. Any minor inconvenience on the road to them is an unforgivable offense. A week ago a woman yapping on her cell phone and driving a minivan started to pull out in front of me through a red light. When she finally saw me, she threw up her arms like "WTF are *you* doing?" I doubt she ever inconvenienced herself long enough to figure out that she was in the wrong.
Are you running for office? I'd like to vote for you. Yesterday at lunch I was behind a line of cars moving at 30 mph trying to merge with a 65 mph highway.
I remember that it was more about restricting internet access to infrastructure targets like power plants. That's not to say that the actual law isn't vaguely enough worded to allow for gross breaches of civil rights. I didn't see anything in the blurb about what the changes were to the kill switch legislation.
I remember watching a Discover channel doc where the scientists said the airbag system stresses were right at the peak of its fault tolerances, so they won't use it anymore.
OT but I'll try to paraphrase a really obscene exchange of Alberto's perjured Senate testimony. This is where they gave him a week to "correct himself":
Schumer: "So, you're saying this information was publicly available even though there is no evidence of what you're saying." Fredo: "Yes, I told a reporter." Schumer: "Oh! You did! Which reporter did you tell at which outlet?" Fredo: "Um, it wasn't really me, it was someone who worked for me." Schumer: "Oh! So who did you tell in your staff to alert the media?" Fredo: "I don't recall." Schumer: "Well, which media outlet did they alert." Fredo: "I don't recall."
Being able to attribute comments to another person is power. Especially if that person's career is reliant on public perception such as it is for politicians, musicians, and actors.
The next time a school is built or upgraded in your district, take a look at the budget allocation for the project. The federal government plays a big role in financing local school construction especially when census data shows that population distribution is out-of-sync with where schools are located.
I understand privacy concerns, but I also understand the valuable ways this information is used. Things like trying to figure out the best place to locate infrastructure like schools and VA hospitals. I remember this "debate" from 10 years ago. Now, while you're passively rebelling against your evil government think about what answers you choose to omit from the census and how easily available that info already is.
Those are not the body parts we seek.
But...but..the Free Market...

Christianity used to honor a similar tradition to prevent idolatry.

A cold-blooded gang of hoodlums cruising around the neighborhood waiting to drop in unannounced.
libertarian: I do not think you know what that word means.

Jack Nicholson in Mars Attacks FTW
President Dale: I want the people to know that they still have 2 out of 3 branches of the government working for them, and that ain't bad!
Jennifer Aniston ON Sandra Bullock and we're talking blockbuster

Lies, damned lies, statistics.
So, what is the number of deaths per miles driven? This to me is the most accurate measure. I bet Americans drive far further than Europeans.

Diesel??? And flood the Martian atmosphere with deadly carbon dioxide?

Assuming their nuclear arsenal is at the caps mentioned in this article, I'd say they're super power enough.
