Hydrogen is really an energy carrier rather than a fuel.

Why is that argument always used as a knock on hydrogen? Gas is an energy carrier, we just didn't do the work. It's the least of our problems as we have solar, nuclear, geothermal, tidal, and wind that we can use to generate it. We need a next generation renewable source and hydrogen at least gives us options for a wide range of original energy sources. So, whatever we end up with will just be an energy carrier originally sourced from humans.

What's a generalist got? They're great employees. Big deal. Being a great employee is like being a great dog; at the end of the day, they'll still euthanize your ass when you're no longer of use.

Tell that to the Dodo bird, sabre-toothed tiger, wooly mammoth, (soon to be joined by the Panda), or COBOL programmer.

The Daily Show parodies this to great effect with ridiculous semi-related movie clips where real networks typically drop in their stock footage.

When I was into the cosmology-for-dummies books that were popular in the 80s and 90s (Hawkings, Sagan, etc), I read about this theory. Every book always said the theory could be disproved with a few years worth of measurements, so I'm guessing that happened years ago.

You don't account for what the inspectors DID find. Firstly, WMD have shelf lives for the most part except for stuff like anthrax spores and require facilities to maintain them. When you find unaccounted for WMD still in the same bombed out warehouse from 1991 or their facilities abandoned. And the inspections were not a joke. In fact, they were working TOO well which is why Bush decided to go ahead with the invasion before his silly rationale was completely discounted. You fail to account for the fact that after 4 years and millions in reward money offered, there has been no evidence offered up that the inspectors missed anything.

Then, made the driver go through the legal process to get it back. Besides seeming illegal to me (what if you're driving your mom's car), the way the cops discussed the impound with the violator implied that getting the car back would be easy. In reality, they'd probably get stuck with a ton in fines. And, if you're already struggling to pay insurance, I doubt that you've got the cash for $100s in fines.
