I know where I live (British Columbia, Canada) ANY device, covering or coating that obscures a license plate from either the human eye OR a camera is illegal.
Also, there are a lot of over-the-counter meds in the states that require a prescription in Canada. For example, Canadians need a prescription to get Excedrin while Americans just walk into wallgreens and buy it without so much as showing ID.
That would also make them distributors and the target of just about every federal and most international police forces. As it stands now, it's just extorsion so as far as the governments are concerned, they're just lumped in with all the other un-prosecuted Nigerian scammers.
I didn't see anything on there about web browsing, flash videos or even a GUI for that matter. 90% of the information on there is directly hardware related.
He listened long enough to hear "that's a stupid example". At that point he knows the guy's not even TRYING to answer the question, so he does the only rational thing and rephrases it to make it clearer, which didn't work either.
For me it's not the specific fact that they believe in creation, but that creationists also tend to be the ones that support other religious views such as the damnation of gays. If you can be brainwashed to the point of believing the universe is less than 10,000 years old, god knows (pun kind of intended) what else you've been brainwashed into thinking and what kind of religious nut you're going to vote for.
You are free to give discounts where you see fit, but to charge rich people more (and I say this as someone who is NOT rich) is BULLSHIT. Bill Gates is just as free to pay the normal advertised price for that bread as any other person. Rich people already pay more taxes (whether it's enough is another issue) and tend to buy more expesive bread anyways.
Does Home Depot get to charge more for a bucket of paint if it's going to be used on the outside of a business than homeowner who's painting his shed?!?
Which is funny because the governments of almost every 1st world country are trying their damnest to emulate China's level of control over their citizens.
Except it's not a SECURITY issue, it's simply a way to mask words in a way that would over-tax their firewall were it to attempt filtering them (especially if salted). MD5 may be broken, but it still takes a HELL of a lot longer to scan a thousand MD5 hashed value than plaintext.
As opposed to the US currently taking down any.com,.net or.org site they damn well please because you hurt some corporation's feelings? As someone that lives in Canada, I don't think the UN could do a whole lot worse.
I distinctly rememer when IE7 came out in automatic updates that it would make itself the default even if a 3rd party browser was in place. I remember this because for a fucking month every other phone call I got was from someone who's computer I had put Firefox on to reduce the drive-by malware. The question was basically "where did my bookmarks go?!?".
Now that you mention it, that problem DID suddenly go away a while ago. I had forgotten about the dark days of every search engine simply returning results to the results of other search engines. It was like a map that told you to buy another map which told you to buy another map which told.....
The fact that you think every competitor to windows having to pay them $99 just to have the PRIVILEGE of being installed on YOUR hardware is "trivial" frightens me somewhat. The fact that you probably aren't alone frightens me a great deal.
Just took a quick peak at the site and with the amount of room they use to print the instructions on how to access your information, they could have just printed the damn information right on it! I can see the point of not having to reprint them if stuff changes, but how ofter does your emergency contact information REALLY change? Maybe once every 5-8 years on average, after that long, the old one will probably be worn out anyways!
How hard do you really think it is to get ahold of a single paramedic's phone? I can pretty much guarantee that there is at least 1 junky in every city who has an father/brother/uncle/cousin/etc that is a paramedic/doctor/nurse/etc.

Not to mention they tested it with the ENGADGET website. That site is so javascript-heavy it rivals Facebook!

And them getting on the front page of slashdot just proves that it works :(
it is does in fact contract to it's, its is served for possession.

Just bought 2 boxes of CFL, they were in 100% cardboard, no clamshell, just straight cardboard. In fact it didn't even have tape on it.

Ah yes, poor late Kevin Bacon, sadly passed away in the year.....wait a minute!
I *AM* Canadian and I didn't get this one. I think he somehow got Canadians and Baptists mixed up, which doesn't make any sense either.
Well sometimes at least their props are innovative!

Oops, that was meant for the OP.
When has Google *EVER* used patents in an offensive (vs defensive) manner?

Or just get a medic alert bracelet like the smart people with deadly afflictions.
