I like how Facebook is adopting "new" technologies so people can better connect with each other, but I'm not sure I want it as the standard for everything on the internet. I think there are some improvements you can make to a universal online, profile system like Facebook. I mean, at some point, there's gonna be clashes between your image and anonymity, because of all the integration. Is Facebook going to be that image? Eh...I certainly hope not. But it almost seems for certain that anonymity is in many respects, a thing of the past. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, as Facebook integrates themselves more and more with peoples' lives, you're gonna have a correlation between the person posting on some obscure website, to the person walking outside to pick up their morning newspaper.
Facebook is becoming our 20th century metaphorical lightbulb, so to speak--it's an advancement that we can't seem to do without, but at the same time, let's start making the switch over to AC instead of DC current. Yea? Alrighty then.
"f you're fighting with a friend and want to let your BFF know what's going on as you send your frenemy a nasty messsage — what's the best way to pull that off?"...Better yet...why would you want to send hate mail to as many people as possible? BCC is an interesting feature, but this isn't exactly the best demonstration of its usefulness.
To be honest, I have a slim understanding of how the whole infinite vs. finite universe argument goes, but if this analogy helps, there are some structures out there that have infinite surface area and finite volume.

Pretty cool, huh?
No seriously. I love this. I'm sure there are still plenty of glitches and modifications, but you guys really did a fantastic job here. I use Slashdot from time to time, but I never did figure out how to navigate through anything else besides the homepage (lol, meta-moderating wut?) At least for me, it seems much more user-friendly. I'm not sure how the older users feel, but hey, who cares? They're almost dead anyways.:D
Shakespeare probably didn't only write for art and yes, you can buy poems at your local bookstore for a couple bucks.
I'm just suggesting that when you offer a prize for a proof; when you package up literature for a couple bucks, you lose a part of that creativity of the medium.
I think, I don't know, I guess you would call it a suffocating experience.
It's not an entirely bad thing, but you know, it's something to think about.

I printed out all my emails cause you can't always trust the cloud.
I tried getting some once. My Mac wouldn't let me. :/
Guys, hey guys. Seriously though. The new Macs just came out a couple days ago. Clearly, we can make some exceptions here.
Oo, can't wait. Hiding your Dashboard helps getting a larger screen too, but hey, the more features, the merrier.
Come on Steve Jobs. I know you're holding back with this release date, but I need it now baby. I NEED IT NOW.
Get a vat of antimatter, and throw it at a landfill. Storage problem solved. Who cares about "logistics." It's science motherfucka's.

I think my face is pretty damn sexy. Everyone should be able to look at it.

Next he's going to say Hawking radiation really doesn't exist. What a jackass.
