    I actually bought a CueCat to scan my DVDs and CDs into Delicious Library, and found it faster to just type the damn bar code numbers in by hand.

    Apple didn't sue "Android", they sued Samsung for very specific design patents.

    Samsung would be foolish to turn away Apple's component business, but I remember Microsoft wanting to stop production of MS Office for Mac, even though it was a profitable product line.

    It also depends on the accounting, Most places I've worked, the full-time worker's salary comes out of operational expenses, while contract resources come out of capital expenses, usually tied to a project of some sort that's been through a business case to get capital funding.

    Your $40k wages have lots of hidden company costs as well, up to 35% of gross salary.

    A good post. A lot of the arrogance also stems from having been seen as the one with the right answer a lot of times in the past, and therefore must be the one person with the right answer ALL the time.

    Wages are higher in Canada. Taxes are higher in Canada. Prices for just about everything are higher in Canada. No idea why a company would ever want to sell something in Canada with a higher price.

    Still doesn't answer the question as to why they didn't post pricing when they announced the damn things.

    Three things other companies need to learn from Apple: when you announce something, tell me how much it costs,when I can buy it, and let everybody play with it at the unveiling.

    How wrong you are, on both counts. My old halogen biking lights were most definitely made to light up the road. Headlights on cars, too.

    Now granted, the foot issue you explained is pretty rediculous, but there's other people on here saying they eat the same thing every day. That is actually not good for your body. Its just like an exercise routine, if you do the same thing every time then it gets easy as your muscles adapt and you get less benefit from it. Your body also adapts to your diet, and keeping your food choices irregular helps burn more calories and keep your metabolism high.

    Well, that smells like grade-A bullshit.

    I ask because I love my coffee. Seriously, I'm stupid for it... But the last thing I need is another activity that supposedly makes me go blind...

    So keep drinking coffee, just drink less of it each time. I've cut down in a major way over the last year, but I still need two a day to keep me awake and my brain working. I just drink way less both times.
