They get rid of the new goofy co-host... If in the heat of Junkyard Wars battle/construction some pinhead is asking me asanine questions/jokes regarding my team's masterpiece, he'll get a sawz-all to the head (failing that a nutpunch (tm))
They should include that gimpy little robot that came with the original nintendo for that one cheezy game (help me out, what was the name of that thing)...
I actually had the radio shack version of the omnibot... it was a little bigger, and you could "record" sequences of moves into the integrated tape deck... it was a pretty neato toy come to think of it... what did I do with it?!
Just to be clear, it was meant as an example of assinine "marketdroid" type conversation/discussion... *shrug* I get it, they don't... my cheezy point (re-iterating for good reason) is that do you (as a tech reource) want to waste any breath explaining that to business stake holders??
Of course if I come back from said imaginary meeting and ask for radio buttons that will allow multiple concurrent selections... feel free to berate me =)
Besides format (RM vs asf vs qt, etc) bandwith is a big issue... even you are only doing like a marginal 16k audio only stream, multiplied by hundreds or thousands of users (concurrently for a LIVE event) and you've got some manage-ability issues.
What solutions are available today to help with this? Network edge caching, multi cast setttings... *shrug* still looking for answers quite frankly...
You probably should keep the program/project managers and get 3. business/product analyst to buffer between the technical resources (what can be done) and the end business client (wants the moon...)
As great as doing everything yourself is... would you rather be coding/designing patterns, or sitting in boring meetings deciding on radio button vs. check box with the marketingdroids ?
What, they couldn't spare some computing power to make the audio available on the web?!?! They are using crusty old technology like a conference call and a phone?
Sarcasm aside... that seems a little backwards for someone working on a fricken' PETEFLOP machine.
"The most impressive aspect of the Slashdot system, Mr. Johnson said, is that it not only encourages high quality in submissions to the site..."
The way people have been complaining about the downward spiral of content lately, I wonder if that still holds true. I don't necessarily feel that way, but I'm probably a lower-echelon, lower brow reader/viewer =P
So... what's next? are people gonig to be saws-all-ing their cases in half to make low rider pc cases?
How about ridiculous spoilers on p133's (like the spoiler will help the pc run SETI@home units any faster! ha!
I better rush to register a www.beaterz.com like address www.beaterzpc.com hmmm.... now if I could only find my bookmark to www.networksolutions.com I could register it...
What about ol' George Foreman's Imac themed grills? With the urban/techno/quasi-rapping george?
It was like a half-ass Shatner delivery with bad audio effects...
Do we need a "blue-berry" mean lean grilling machine? Really now??!!!
