Even Germans can't stand him. I once went to Germany and visited a friend I met at this newsgroup -- it was 2000, and he was rooting for Mika Häkkinen against Schumacher. Amazing!
Gasp! You're right! Now I'm MORALLY OBLIGATED to keep going to linuxtoday.com regularly or I'll be a Stalin-loving hypocritical Richard Stallman hippie zealot!!!

"The government has now prohibited the disclosure of my name and my company's name in connection with the case," said Doe. "They have provided no further clarification about what I can and cannot say." He says that he has found it difficult to have normal conversations. "[I] used to discuss topics related to politics and current events, but now I feel wary when I communicate... I have steered clear of numerous topics of conversation as I am afraid.... The gag has put me in a very compromising situation, as I do not want to be dishonest in my communications [words blacked out] but also do not want to violate the gag."
Really. You do business with an ISP owner who likes to talks about politics. All of a sudden, he becomes REAL quiet and looks scared all the time. D'oh.
The sad thing is, people will figure out who he is despite his best efforts, and the government WILL blame him.
The firewall would have to be smarter than that. Maybe redirecting all outbound port 25 traffic to a faux MTA on the local machine that pretends to accept messages. Hmmm, interesting.
Many people here have similar opinions, but let me add to that: start with a packaged distro and uninstall/compile what you believe is critical (Samba for the file server, Apache & PHP & MySQL for the web server, etc).
In all of them, recompile the kernel. Tune it to the server's particular hardware with loving care. And make lots of backups of the resulting.config files. You won't regret it.
For desktops, I recomend abject submission to a package and upgrading mechanism (Fedora and Tao, for instance, go well with yum. For Debianish distros, plain old apt). Choose repositories as if you are amending the USA Constitution.
Even the President of the United States appears unfocused and uneducated.
When will the rip offs of George W.Bush end?!!
...amaze me.
It's like complaining that abolition of slavery restricts the rights of slave traders and owners. Jesus H. Christ on a stuffed platypus.
Even THAT is no justification! Access actually WORKS... sort of.
Lamest. Excuse. EVAH!
I believe the highest measured straight line speed in a Formula 1 car was by Jean Alesi at Monza in 2001 -- 359.4 km/h ~ 223.3 mph
May be outdated, though.

Jerez de la Frontera, 1986.
Love that JPS paintjob.
Coulthard is IMHO more aggressive than Prost and Ralf. He's sulking this year because the car sucks and he knows his career is coming to an end.
He had many admirable tussles with Schumacher in past years. Remember The Finger?
Your sysadmin needs that advice and your production server has 958 users.
Right-click on a folder and select "browse folder" (it's the second option in the context menu).
Me, I like the new mode a lot. It has a Windows 98 feel, very lean, no-frills.

Go away, troll.

If you mean Bill, I agree with you.

Code written with them becomes illegible after that.
...about "intellectual" "property" issues...
- it's never going to get better.
- it's never going to stop getting worse.
- the rate of getting worse is never going to stop increasing.
Brazil is getting reeel cozy, trade-wise, with China. Can't say I blame them.
The link above is a few days old -- lots of trade agreements have been signed already, to much hoopla here (Brazil).
Just for curiosity, Brazil is the 5th largest population, but Indonesia's (and Pakistan's) grows faster and the USA's is still very ahead.

Get this: in the 70's, Japan was the 5th largest, just ahead of Brazil. The top 4 haven't changed. Yet.
The story is called "The Dead Past", indeed by Asimov.
While googling around, I found out it was dramatized in an Outer Limits-like British TV series.
What about the toddlers?
No way in hell I can work for home unless I outsource my 3yo.
Maybe it linked to itself? Major Ouroboros moment there!
Will they offer delayed ISOs for the masses? Preinstalled Nvidia drivers, Flash etc. is a nice thing, and I can wait.

As if it didn't smell funny enough already...

Until Mozilla and Konqueror got their act together. And true, it actually was the only (barely) usable alternative IMHO. Yecch.
