    Wrong, they glow under uv light.

    My point is: using genetically altered food, and generally exploiting nature in unnatural ways has been found to result in long-term genetic and other problems for humans

    Neither AIDS nor mad cow disease are the result of genetically modified foods, but they do provide examples of cross species infection. But, that wasn't your point.

    As soon as the adoption was final, my parents had him taken off of all of the drugs, and while he still has behavioral problems, the Tourette's has all but gone away, and he is generally happier than he was before.

    Thats good, I've met people that were over medicated with ritalin as children who can't remember most of their childhood.

    various vocal tics (grunting, odd little noises, words and so forth... think Tourette's Syndrome, only not nearly as bad), which is one of the side effects of stimulant medication.

    If she is having that kind of side effects, find her a different medication or help her learn to cope with adhd without medication, this is not healthy nor normal.

    Back in the tape to tape or CD to tape days these concepts had meaning. It wasn't easy to perform large scale unlawful copying. The music industry turned a bit of a blind eye to the whole affair because it was not perceived as a negative.

    No, that is not correct. They turned a blind eye to it, because there is legal precident that fair use trumps any complaints they would have had. That is why they put copy protections on cds to try and keep people from doing this casual copying that they are legally allowed to do.

    Why should it be so long before we can have people on mars? We got people on the moon with 60's technology, they should be able to have people on mars within a couple of years tops.

    Considering the fact that they used the same method to measure the temp of this new sun as they probably used to measure the tmep of our existing sun which is also considerably far away (albeit it closer to us) I'd say the measurements are just as accurate as they could be.

    US Currency is supposed to be exactly 6" long. Instead of guessing what it would be in metric and then converting to inches, you should guess how large it would be using the measuring system it was designed with and then convert to metric.

    The best parts about this is that the law prevents the business that gives up the information to the FBI from telling their customer about the request.

    Why do they always put these provisions in new laws.. is that to keep it from getting tested in court? If they already have gotten the information, there is no reason why the person shouldn't be informed that their information was given away.

    It would seem like the eff or aclu or someone would file suit against the gov't about these invasions of privacy.
