The problem is with sites like livejournal which are dynamic, if you refresh, you get the first page new, but then if you click 'go back 20 entries' you get a 20 entries back page that is 1 or 2 days old.. whatever the proxy decides to give you. When you refresh that, you don't always get what you were trying to get and miss entries between the first page and the page you are on.
I always use firebird to check my exchange webmail for work.. The basic features seems to work better in firebird than IE.. Now if I could just figure out what the firebird setting for "Check for a new version of the page everytime" like there is in IE, so I'd stop getting cached versions of static pages from our proxy at work.
Any PC Laptop drops processors speed (And performance) dramatically when unplugged... but Apple laptops continue to operate at full speed when you're running off of battery.
Mac's do the same thing.. and it is usually easier to disable on a pc since there is a little icon down in the taskbar.
I'll correct myself, it doesn't render properly at 800x600 in Firebird 0.7.
If you are going to use a pre 1.0 release of anything, you aren't really entitled to complain, especially when you aren't even using the latest pre 1.0 release of said software. It renders fine in.8 of firebird. The site can't really be held responsible for the fact that different versions of mozilla browser's render it differently.
I beg to differ - one of the few things stopping me from purchasing a phone is the fact that I do not want to pay for hundreds of features that I will never use. All I want is an address book and a way to make calls."
This argument is bullshit considering that phones without any features cost the same as phones with tons of features since almost any plan will give you a free phone with tons of features. The plans that don't give you free phones generally give you some discount towards a phone of your choice.
- After a little while, and especially if you tinker in your case often, you'll notice that all the screws you need are the big ones. No need to remember what goes where. Voila!
I've noticed that.. All of the screws in my case are the big ones.. if I need to swap out a drive I just use the ones that hold the slot covers in. There is usually a few extra at the bottom.
If you decide to go with opensourcing it, you should consider using this sourceforge site that is already setup to handle such a project, but which doesn't have any code yet.
Should the compilier also ignore misspellings? If "Variable1" appears all over the place and in one place "Variabl1" appears, should the complier auto-correct it to "Variable1"?
That's exactly the way you should think about it, getting hung up on the fact that A and a are the same letter is dumb, in most programming languages A and a are different regardless of the fact that we call them both "aye".
No one would seriously argue that we should only use the first 13 letters of the alphabet since you don't really need all of those letters to make sense of things, and yet they expect us to take them seriously when they can't keep track of capitolized letters.
it'll look really ghetto if your main website links to your official forum and that forum is hosted offsite. Especially since the hosting site might decide to throw some popups or banner ads on down the line.
That's easy, download Ted Mielczarek's Flash Click To View Plugin, it displays a button instead of the flash animation. If you click the button you see the flash animation.
It doesn't work for me.. I installed it and made sure it was enabled and flash ads still show up like normal. Does it only work with certain versions of flash or something?
I was under the assumption minors couldn't enter contracts
That's an incorrect assumption. Minors can enter into contracts, but they are allowed to break them, leaving the person that entered into the contact with them up a creek.
For instance, minors can sign up for those cd clubs, but if they don't feel like paying, the cd club has no recourse against them.
It would seem like someone would really fuck up the system by submitting works that included large sections quoted from famous works such as the bill of rights or the declaration of independance.
The same piece of software that lets people around the world play video games on their cell phones is now letting scientists drive the ultimate remote-controlled car across the surface of Mars.
It notably does not use fossil fuels in the process.
That's great, except it requires tons of fossil fuels to refine ethanol. Once they figure out that problem, we'll be good to go.
just like tucan sam.

There is never a category for "does the prof speak english?". That one needs to be there at my school.
WIU has that problem as well, luckily they do have a comment section.
Yup

It's nice to see that a Java site such as theserverside.com [theserverside.com]completely ignores Mozilla. Check it out for yourself...
What are you implying? The site comes up fine in mozilla based browsers.
Why can't you just print the same form multiple times?
Generally because of legal requirements and because they can add a printer more easily than they can rewrite 50 year old cobol.

Show me where it says that this is illegal, because if it is, I need to have a sit-down with my last boss.
It's illegal in most states, contact someone that knows something about the labor laws in your area.

Most opensource programs use decoding and encoding technology that is 99% compatible with the patented technology, but was developed independantly.
Java software is used on the client side to drive the rover.

Does anyone use 64 bit processors for embedded applications?
thanks, I think that's what the problem was since I noticed that it is working on some other sites, just not the sites I go to all of the time.

I wonder if they filter out stuff like that?
