It has nothing to do with how much money makes that job to the employer, because nobody ever cares about that.
Imagine that engineer position makes a -20,000 dollars hole in the company. Are you implying the engineer applying for that particular job shall pay the company $20,000 instead of being paid?

Hi, I'm Catalin Braescu, I'm from Romania. Maybe I can help - I dislike Romanian scammers twice: first for what they are doing and second because the reputation they build for my country prevents me to do as much business as I can.
Let me put it straight: we shall never endorse other people's pet projects or stupid businesses. Mandrake is a for-profit company, yet it begs for donations.
Have they did *everything* in order to survive as a regular business? Certainly not.
A business entity like theirs have mainly three departments: marketing/sales, development, and support.
Marketing & Sales Dept. shall remain where is located (i.e., France). After all it is the core of the company. No comments to be made about them
But...
Support Dept. and also Development Dept. employs most of the 100-member crew of MandrakeSoft, while still being located in France. That's hardly a sound business decision, since moving out those operations in a lower-cost country will save them lots of badly-needed funds. I'm Romanian and I cand say having an excellent Linux dev here cost about 800 US Dollars all taxes included!!! We have high-speed Internet, we have PCs, we have everything an IT company might need. And the same conditions (costs may vary) can be found in Bulgaria, Russia or Ukraine. Same conditions but almost double the salaries can be found in Hungary, Czech Republic or Poland. Same conditions as in Romania/Bulgaria/Russia/Ukraine can be found in India but the travel costs will be rather big.
My point is any intelligent company shall try pro-actively find lower-cost resources, and MandrakeSoft do not run their business this way. Most of their running costs come from Development and also from Support, which can be confidently moved out in Eastern Europe (where English literacy is bigger than in Western Europe, BTW).
Siemens, Alcatel, Motorola, Microsoft are doing R&D, Development, Support in Romania (I'm insisting on Romania simply because living there I know it better). Why MandrakeSoft are not willing to behave like a responsible business?
I am definitelly pissed off when I'm seeing idiots like the actual submitter claiming that COMMUNIST regimes are... fascist, so they don't have to expleain themselves why they still look tender to anything red, commie, socialist, social democracy and all the other undercovered COMMUNIST crap.

Some lefis have the strange fixation of trying to justify their communist absurdities by packing them in some "objective" packajing. Is my personal opinion that your words are very similar in this respect. Who are you to restrict somebody else willing to work and earn? What if somebody will came to your house and pretend you earn way too much and eventually try to pick some of your money? Remember: communism led to mass unhappiness and systematic civil rights abuse.
Mister, in my personal opinion you are simply a blind communist. It seems you forgot the world have three actors: the individual, the corporation and the state. Destroy the corporation and the individual will single face the government. Your text, also in my personal opinion, is a damm lie about XX century: the state grows and grows, stealing from corporations and from individuals. How many days work your grandfather for paying taxes? How many days *you* work for paying taxes? is is a shame that you want the state even *more* controlling the market. I feel personally disgusted by what I think that are crypto-communistic remarks.

Why not use the fast and efficient MetaKGB.com? It is certainly better (IMHO) than other metasearch engines.
