I agree that preferential treatment sucks. Having a non-white Spiderman doesn't fall into that category. He just isn't white. It also gives the writers some room to create interesting and new stories.

Yup, this is the place! First you pick an arbitrary group. It doesn't really matter which as it's just a word you'll use to describe Good in order to differentiate them from everyone else, who are Evil. The Good all love America and everyone in it. Except those who are Evil. This argument works in all scenarios regardless of Facts, which no one knows.

Then you write comments about how Evil hates Good and won't let them lead us all into the glorious future. Surely if Good were unfettered by Evil, there would be puppies and ice cream for all! You'll be stunned when someone disagrees with you, because that never happens when you hang out with your friends.

Bonus points if you throw in something you read in a blog or heard on the radio. Sometimes those are called Facts, which should make us all laugh but tragically doesn't.

Not uninstalling may cost you money. Uninstalling may cost you money and jail time. Lying to the court (perjury) is not taken lightly either, if it can be proven. Weigh your risks and choose wisely.

If you pay attention to the accidents, you will see the train accidents are almost always due to human error, not signaling equipment failure. Drivers going thru flashing red signals, engineers under the influence or texting, and occasional sabotage. Signal equipment almost always fails safe. This causes very annoying (but safe) delays while the equipment is fixed.

I'm aware of that, but I see it as a deficiency in the design scope of safety equipment.

I worked on US rail signaling equipment (Background = Physics PhD). I have never been so impressed with over-designed, fail-safe equipment. They plan for everything, including multiple lightning strikes. They do such things as positioning their relays upside down so that the armature falls to NC by gravity if the spring breaks. They have many years of experience, and all of our equipment is for sale. I think the NIH mentality bit China in the arse this time.

And yet train accidents still occur here.

From Ubisoft's perspective, anything more than zero is a win if they assume it will more than offset those who won't buy because of the DRM. Not a happy thought, but I suspect the numbers add up the right way for them.
