Yup. I've never seen what the OP is talking about either. It's like you say - credits roll on the left, info about the next episode to the right. No ads for anything.
"but there still is one huge problem for regular people and linux, and that's when you incorrectly shut-down most linux distro's you'll actually destroy your OS ~ install ubuntu (non-virtualized) and force shutdown (for proof)"
This, friends and neighbours, is just so much bullshit. You have no idea what you're talking about.
Yup, this is exactly what I do. I'm with Be (now part of Sky) and I get a static IP address for £20 pm. The BeBox (router) has all the capabilities for port forwarding although I found the interface to be dumbed down for firewall configuration which actually made it harder to set up for me:) Been running a CentOS server for all sorts of things for 5 years with no hassles from the ISP.
And I want an ice cream. Doesn't mean it's going to happen any time soon.
I suppose it's possible I'll see men on the moon in my lifetime, but I sort of doubt they'll be flying a US flag. Probably Chinese if I had to guess. And I don't think anyone will ever be going to Mars. Or if we do, it'll cost an obscene amount of money, probably fail on the first attempt, people will die and the public will lose their desire to see it happen.
Depressing really.
Yup, I'm running tt-rss off my own home server now with the Android app. It's obviously a little slower than Reader as I don't have a data centre in my loft, but it works well enough. I just imported my Reader subscriptions and job done. Plus the NSA can't read it!:D
Exactly, the early nineties were the golden age of PC gaming. There was a huge amount of quality titles on PC, not just Doom. GP clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.
Jim Jones wasn't forced to drink the kool aid. He didn't drink any of it - he got one of his henchmen to shoot him instead because he was a psychopathic pussy when it came down to it.
You know, I make it a point to ignore posts with randomised capital words. It's the sign of an unbalanced mind or one who is not secure in their argument.
This is total bullshit. I've used Kickass for years and not run into anything you describe. If you find using a website to be so challenging, I suggest you do something else.

No it isn't, you dumb shit.
Dude, do you even physics?
That's because the fan is run by OSX in software. Linux doesn't support it because Apple made it that way. Smart.
If only there was some way to find out these things. Some sort of "engine" that would allow you to "search" for things. Somebody should invent that.
That's just adorable :D

Bring it! :D

That wasn't The Poseidon Adventure, that was the remake, dropping the "adventure" part...probably because there wasn't any.
Oh, for mod points...

That's why I use Calibre + plugin to strip out the DRM from Amazon e-books. Then I can lend them to whomever I like!

Unity, the game engine - not Unity, the Ubuntu GUI.

Fail.
Soooo easy. sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ehoover/compholio sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install netflix-desktop Done.

This. I mean, let's be realistic folks.
That's a donation page, numbnuts.

Daleks are not robots. Please leave.
Will never happen. At that point, you may as well settle your differences with a football match. If you're not killing people, it isn't a war.
