Honestly, I think all the geek scorn after the prequels came out broke him. He's not a young man and between Star Wars and Indiana Jones, I honestly think he believed his own hype as a genius film-maker. So in an act of total hubris, he decided to puke out the prequels. And they were awful. And he knows it but doesn't know *why*.
You're missing the point. As well as Steam and because I suspect it's intertwined with it, the Source engine will be coming to Linux. This is a pretty big deal, even if the engine is getting a bit long in the tooth these days. Left 4 Dead 2 already runs rather well under it.
Of course 72% of gamers approved of more drone strikes. If they have any brains, this is the closest thing to backing something that will give them a job playing videogames one day. I don't know why there isn't a Kickstarter for it, to be honest.
Yeah.
This will fail as long as the postfix is always "...as long as it doesn't threaten Windows or Office, natch."
They *had* something epic with the Courier...and they killed it. I don't see this state of affairs changing anytime soon.
True actually. I skipped it no problem. It was only later I linked my login to my hotmail account. Please bitch about stuff that is an actual problem, not just your ineptitude.
...except that complaint only makes sense in your country (which I assume to be the US). I can count the number of times I've got no coverage in Europe on the fingers of one hand. 3G here is plenty fast enough for everything except massive game downloads.
Exactly - GP is pure rubbish. I flashed my Nexus S single core phone with ICS and it ran a damned sight faster than Gingerbread (for which the Nexus S was the reference device for).
I'll bite.
The registry *does* get crufty. All sorts of keys from software that you've previously uninstalled. You've clearly not used RegEdit very much searching for software matches that you *know* are no longer there.
And Windows (7, SBS, etc) *does* reboot itself automatically when it decides you must.
Nobody cares about your respect or lack of it, but simply ignoring the facts that many sysadmins deal with when working with Windows is just stupid.
Would the ISPs block it by simply removing that entry from their DNS servers? If so, won't it be trivial to reconfigure your router to get it's name servers from OpenDNS or Google?
How else would it be blocked?
Java adds itself to Task Scheduler as well. How is that any different to Linux's Package Kit? In other words, so what? In fact, I'd go so far as to say that Windows is crying out for some sort of auto-update mechanism for it's apps.
If you want to be taken seriously, including a link to a Daily Mail "article" is not the way to exude credibility. Often, the DM just makes stuff up. Fact.
No, I pirated Game of Thrones because there's no such thing as HBO in my country and Game of Thrones isn't available anywhere else. Not everywhere is the USA, you twerp.
Because it makes a small Linux machine extremely affordable for those who otherwise might not have access to it, you dumb shit.
Yes....curse people and their opinions!
Wordpress.
I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
I would pay to see that. "Steam-Boat Star Destroyer"? Sign me up!

Yeah? How many iOS apps can I develop on my Windows 7 box?
Silverlight...XNA...
That's nothing. The storm in NYC is headline news....in England. I mean, *seriously*?

Old software never dies any more, it just ends up on torrent sites. No problem.
You know that Unity supports both iOS and Android, right?

I'm fairly sure the first versions of Netscape Navigator (three, perhaps?) had a splash screen back in the late nineties on good old Windows 3.11.

Who bought and set up the media server? Because that's theirs. As for the photos - copies, duh.

Rocks. It's always rocks.
