But *time* takes care of that quite neatly. The kids today are raised with the Internet, mobile apps and YouTube. TV is not the centre of family life it once was, just as nobody gathers round the radio for the latest serial-drama any more. Things change.
The problem with that is, the first person who downloaded it would strip out all the adverts and re-upload it. Everyone would download the advert-free version and the company's ad revenue would dry up. That's exactly what happens now, really. The only difference is the nature and origin of the content.
Graphics in the trailer look like shit considering this is 2012. I gather the "free" bit is one island to fly around and probably one plane - everything else will cost you. And from the content of the trailer, it looks like it's "Microsoft PilotWings 2012". I'll try it, but I think they're going for the "Modern Warfare" casual model rather than an actual flight sim. Time will tell, but I have a horrible feeling about this...
And the Linux Action Show....they spent about five minutes of every bloody show banging on about GoDaddy. What has Jupiter Broadcasting to say about this? Are they still sponsored by GoDaddy?
I used to look up to this place as a haven of intellectual conversation on the Internet. This is the last straw....this place is now officially a haven for stupid. Reddit has more intelligent comments than this, seriously.
You sound like such a pompous jackass, I'm surprised anyone would want to talk to you anyway. Seriously? You dismiss people who don't profess to like exactly what you do? Facebook, Minecraft or Twitter usage doesn't automatically make someone unworthy of conversation, especially since all these things are pretty popular.
I'd stay in the basement if I were you. You're obviously not ready for the real world.
"Today's universe" my sweet behind. I've got a hacked copy of Quake 3 running on the Nexus S just fine. It's actually faster than it was on the original PC I played it on.

Don't be fucking ridiculous.
I don't get why they didn't do a Mass Effect MMO. Less money paid to Lucas and a world as equally engrossing.
