    Here's what they're not getting:

The " theater experience " is currently so poor, you could give me the tickets for FREE and I still won't go to the theater to see the movie.

Have you considered for a moment the possibility that the world doesn't revolve around you?

It's a crazy thought, I know, but there is a slight possibility that movie theatres will continue being profitable even if you personally dislike going. Even more astoundingly, it appears that the reason why MoviePass is doing so poorly is that a bunch of people actually WANT to go, and the measly $9.99 monthly fee isn't enough to cover the cost of so many tickets.

I mean I'm certain that all of the theatre chains are absolutely heartbroken over losing you as a customer, but they do somehow seem to be muddling through without you ...

He's certainly not alone. I have zero intention to go see any recent film in the cinema, and by recent im talking years. If they started putting out decent films again that might change but that's not really got anything to do with the cinema itself. It can be an experience sure, but it needs to be a really good film and not just filled with flashy sfx which basically everything is these days. Once you seen one disposable cg army clash with another you've seen them all.

Look at the blatant plants on QT, the massive discrepancy between tory coverage and coverage of any other party. Just look at how many ex tory ministers get parachuted into top level bbc jobs. Channel 4 seems to becoming the new gold standard as worrisome as that is. I would be more than happy for bbc to go subscription or ad supported but you can tell just how beneficial it is to the tories as that is the one thing they won't consider for privatisation anytime it comes up.

  21. I know it's difficult for left-wingers like yourself who have never even tried to run a sustainable, nevermind a profitable, business to understand this, but the lack of competition within the telecom industry is solely due to the extensive regulation that effectively makes it impossible for new entrants to participate in the market. Before you start with the 'natural monopoly' nonsense regarding infrastructure, you should realize that the only monopoly involved and causing problems is that of the government and its oppressive regulation. Technological difficulties can be overcome, even by relatively small players. Regulatory difficulties, on the other hand, are far worse to deal with, and in the telecom sector are nearly impossible to overcome except by the very largest players, and even they often experience extreme hardship. We see the problems we have today because left-wing regulatory schemes have paralyzed the market, resulting in the formation of an oligopolistic environment where the consumer ultimately suffers.

Completely and utterly wrong. Why don't you have a look at some other markets. How is it you think that having only one company is competition? I know you'll shit yourself but why don't you look at the models in european countries where infrastructure is largely separated from the ISP and there are actually lots of ISPs in competition with each other which does result in lower prices, uncapped lines and half decent customer service.
