When will the speed stop mattering? What is the theoretical speed of 0 latency for computations?
This may seem like a stupid question, but I never heard once in star trek them saying our computer is such and such fast. They must have reached a limit that allowed them almost instant computation.
So what would that be in our measured terms however primitive they might be in the longterm outcome of our computers?
Have they tried putting those Japanese walking talking dogs on the planet? Or maybe just some human flesh to see how it reacted to being on the atmosphere?
I think we should bring back a huge piece of the Mars rock and put it on the moon and see if that somehow makes a chemical reaction that blows up the moon and we all are fearful of the crazy world Mars like in those 50s flicks.
Anyways this post just PROVES how ignorant the average man is to Mars and we need these rovers to prove my theories wrong, now march rovers, march!

People need to hear it before they like it and likewise buy it. So unless apple offers some kind of deal where you can listen to it for free once or something how can people tell if these bands are good or not?

I honestly dont think this will change 80% of the users downloading things they have heard on the radio or seen on TV. But I am glad they are opening the doors for ALL musicians to have equal rights, atleast somewhere in the music industry.
As in any market competition encourages the other competitors to step up the pace to beat out the latest and greatest from their foes. This is really the birth of the space race, as privatized sectors will probably get more funding than NASA these days. Lots of rich people are ignorant and very interested towards space (NSYNC Member Lance Bass) and they have the money to power their dreams. These companies will open more gateways into space and will further technology on planet Earth, Luna (The moon) and Mars (To get to Mars).
It's hard to find a negative side other than NASA will have to be more of a space agency than a satellite monitoring system.
I look forward to new technology that will allow me to drink Tang all day, and that chalky hard ice cream! But seriously, I look forward to new innovations in space ship design as well as thrusters that will get us out of the atmosphere with some kind of renewable fuel source and enough power to move around outside of orbit.
Sure this might be fun...but who will want to see actual PEOPLE play the parts after seeing how well the computer generated villains did?
Plays are sooo medieval, this might appeal to the senior citizens that refuse to see the "new age fandangled technology" but, i doubt any kids will want to view this especially considering a multi million dollar movie is alot more entertaining than a multi million dollar wannabe movie with no special effects.

It is not going to be worth the price of admission not nearly worth the 6-20$ you are paying to see it in the theatre with special effects and good music rather than on the stage with no effects and crappy 6x9s bumping Mozart as Bilbo and Sam dance a curious tale.
I'd rather see Showboat again..*shudder* maybe not.
Originality is a weird term, because technically all the games are original unless they are identical. But I suppose the concepts are identical, such as "Find the key, open the door, kill guys, go to the next level, repeat"

Why would anyone want to play a game that has originality when everyone whines about games that "Are too hard!!!"
People dont want originality, it is proof that Doom 3 is the next big hit before it even comes out, Half Life 2 is another one.
THESE ARE SEQUELS. how are they original? they're not, they're playing on people that have bought the original. So do they want originality? No they just want to relive things they've already done in different games that they have enjoyed.
Nobody likes crappy originality, much less pointless conceptual gaming. Sure you can have an original game and make it good, but most of the time originality to most people is just something done before, but done better.
