Well it looks like the rise of corporatism in the USA has reached it's logical conclusion. Everything is for sale including the government, it's departments, congress, senate and the supreme courts. Pity the writers of the constitution couldn't forsee how moneygrubbing and unprincipled their successors would become,
..er.. I though Slashdot was for discussion of issues, not a private support site for *one* person. Discussion of using an OldPC instead of an off the shelf router is entirely valid. There may be thousands of people following the dicussion who decide that yes, on OldPC is the answer for them and not use an off the shelf box,
Hoi you !
I'm british and so are a lot of my friends but we're not anglo-saxons. A lot of australians, candians, newzealanders and yanks aren't anglo-saxons either!
I remember when having a floppy was a big deal or a tape cassette interface. I remember disk packs on "real" machines, when the new winchester came along we were amazed. I'm sure someone can beat this though. Ferrite cores anyone ? Phil
Here in the UK petrol prices are the highest in the world. And nobody dreves any less after every increase (The last governmanet linked fule tax to inflation). Stupid looking cars will never sell no matter how much cheaper they are to run than petrol cars. The majority of car buyers buy a car because of image not because of their consumption figures
