I thought slashdotters were intelligent. Every post here is saying global warming is a sham. If you actually spend some time looking you will find out that global warming doesn't just mean it gets hot. It means everything goes hay wire. Most likely is that we will have hotter summers and colder winters. Weather will be extreme. More tornados, more hurricanes, more droughts and more floods.
yes but they have been going on about this for over 15 years. ANd lots of people have been saying. Sure you can point out an article on global cooling but I can (but can't be bothered) point out thousands on global warming
When I was in high school (finished 6 years ago). We studied evolutino but we had brief discussions on other theories aswell. I don't mind the whole approach with an open mind thing. That should be put on everything. And evolution is fact. You really couldn't prove it more.
But my mates and I came up with the best use for genitic engineering (while stoned). Imagine minature animals of all species. How cool would it be to have little crocadiles in your fish tank say 10cm long. Little elephants and giraffes as pets. Awesome
I am really keen to goto Japan. THis osunds like a great idea. But whats to stop me leaving with it. A friend of mine lived in Japan and apparently the women there love western men.
I have been through the whole thread and there has been only one mention of the toilet snorkel. That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. gerbil shirt was pretty funny too
I love the plaid spray paint. Just imagine tagging with that. I think a beer can/bottle that has a cooling system. goto the shops buy your beer. When your ready push the button and 5 seconds later its cold. now worries for fridge space at the next bbq. awesome.
but they look a little behind the ball. SpaceShipOne is already carrying people into space(the official limit) and they are launching a small rocket. Even if they don't win I hope they keep going.
I am about to embark ona 3 month backpacking tour of europe so one of these cards would be great. I would never have to empty my card. Unfortunately I have a sony whose memory card only goes to 256
I think there is not one solution to the problem. We should be investigate various sources of energy. In future we will have a mix of wind, solar, nuclear etc. Every roofshould be covered in solar panels especially in high sunlight countries. Houses could power themselves.

there is a church is Brighton, England thats supposed to be the exact dimensions of the ark. Its big and square. Though i can't see 2 of every animal fitting in it.
i saw a show on discovery that they think atlantis may be santorini. It had a highly developed civilisation and pretty much disappeared over night when the volcano erupted.
i thought this too but had a look at his settings and they are the same. apparently if u get a memory stick pro they hold more. Same size but hold more photos. don't know how that works.
I have a sony digital camera which is excellent but the memory sticks are shiat. They hold so few photos. My camera on 3.2 megapixel gets about 80 photos on a 128mb stick. My mates olympus gets 200 plus on the same settings and card size.

Yes the ozone layer is better cause we stopped putting out all the CFCs which were destroying it. I am from Australia. We still have a problem.
