    Think about it. If there were really desperate shortages of IT workers, IT employers would not have the luxury of such insanely specific job requirements.

    The non-stop shortage shouting is just done as an excuse to get more offshore workers, to further glut the field, and to thereby lower wages.

    If you don't like Dart, that's fine. But I am seeing a lot of posts that are just BS.

    1) Too many web languages.

    - There is only one language that is commonly used for apps that run in the client browser - ONE!

    2) Google sucks.

    - I defy to name some problem with google that does not apply to Microsoft, or Apple. Privacy? Are you kidding? Dropping products? Are you kidding? At least google is not pulling countless patent trolling scams. And google does not do the vendor lock-in scams like Apple, or Microsoft.

    3) Another VBScript

    - No Dart will run on non-google browsers.

    Any drug would be available to anybody, any time. Anybody could buy a kilo of opium, or cocaine, or whatever, from Walgreen's.

    I have been in IT over 30 years. As long as I can remember, these propaganda articles, going on about looming shortages, have been pooped out on a regular basis.

    For example, the DoD craps out one of these articles about every six months. The part I like is the silly names they come up with, like "cyber warriors."

    All the tech companies crap out similar propaganda all the time.

    I am amazed that anybody, with any knowledge of how pop-media works, pays attention to this obvious hoax.

    I have no idea why I was banned. I have not even been there in about six months. Just got a message that I posted too many "low quality questions." WTF?

    I have no way to find out exactly what was wrong with the questions I posted. Nobody complained about the questions when they were posted. The questions were entirely honest. I was always polite, and respectful.

    I think people should be banned when they post constant spam, or obscenities, or racist remarks, or something like that. Just because you post an honest question, and some smart-ass Nazi troll wants to act like a big shot by calling your question "low quality" is a poor reason to ban people, IMO.

    Office 2003 may work great for your own documents. But, what happens when somebody emails you an Office 2013 document that you need to edit, and send back?

    I used Win2K for years after it was EOL. I had far less problems with security than I now have Windows 7.

    IMO: Win2K was best OS Microsoft ever released.

    I am using it way more than my windows notebook, my android tablet, my kindle, or my ipod touch.

    - fast boot
    - small and lightweight
    - long battery life
    - enough power to load websites in a reasonable time
    - real keyboard
    - no worries about malware
    - screen, and keyboard, big enough to be useful
    - screen is high enough resolution for everything I use it for - and I am well over 40 years old.

    It is not perfect for everything. But for the $145 I paid, I'm very happy. I'd buy it again.
