And not when you first started working on something?
If so, then your argument makes no sense.
> Seven years? Kid, seven years is nothing. How old are you, fourteen? I just published Nobots [mcgrewbooks.com] last month, have been working on it since 2009. I'd have a two year copyright.
Think about it. If there were really desperate shortages of IT workers, IT employers would not have the luxury of such insanely specific job requirements.
The non-stop shortage shouting is just done as an excuse to get more offshore workers, to further glut the field, and to thereby lower wages.
Google is not just copying anything, and everything, they want.
If it was any other company, it would have probably never even gone to court.
Why all the BS about Dart, and Google?

If you don't like Dart, that's fine. But I am seeing a lot of posts that are just BS.
1) Too many web languages.
- There is only one language that is commonly used for apps that run in the client browser - ONE!
2) Google sucks.
- I defy to name some problem with google that does not apply to Microsoft, or Apple. Privacy? Are you kidding? Dropping products? Are you kidding? At least google is not pulling countless patent trolling scams. And google does not do the vendor lock-in scams like Apple, or Microsoft.
How many browser based web programming languages?

Tons of server based web programming languages. But, as far as I know there is only one, widely used, language for programs that run on the client browser.
Can the same be said of Microsoft? Or Apple? Or ..

Do you think Google is the only big tech company that drops products, or services?
It has been very well established that Microsoft is the "man behind the curtain" of several organizations that lobby congress. In fact, Consumer Watchdog may be another MS puppet.

I have been in IT over 30 years. As long as I can remember, these propaganda articles, going on about looming shortages, have been pooped out on a regular basis.
For example, the DoD craps out one of these articles about every six months. The part I like is the silly names they come up with, like "cyber warriors."
All the tech companies crap out similar propaganda all the time.
I am amazed that anybody, with any knowledge of how pop-media works, pays attention to this obvious hoax.
I have no idea why I was banned. I have not even been there in about six months. Just got a message that I posted too many "low quality questions." WTF?
I have no way to find out exactly what was wrong with the questions I posted. Nobody complained about the questions when they were posted. The questions were entirely honest. I was always polite, and respectful.
I think people should be banned when they post constant spam, or obscenities, or racist remarks, or something like that. Just because you post an honest question, and some smart-ass Nazi troll wants to act like a big shot by calling your question "low quality" is a poor reason to ban people, IMO.
Office 2003 may work great for your own documents. But, what happens when somebody emails you an Office 2013 document that you need to edit, and send back?
I am using it way more than my windows notebook, my android tablet, my kindle, or my ipod touch.
- fast boot - small and lightweight - long battery life - enough power to load websites in a reasonable time - real keyboard - no worries about malware - screen, and keyboard, big enough to be useful - screen is high enough resolution for everything I use it for - and I am well over 40 years old.
It is not perfect for everything. But for the $145 I paid, I'm very happy. I'd buy it again.
I lived in CA from 1979 to 1992.
The entire time I was there, and on until today, I have heard talk of splitting up the state.

No, you would have 6 years and 11 months left.

Get on those sites, and you are competing with 3rd world wages.
But you can work from home, for $2 an hour.
It's not a waste for Apple. Apple has been pulling these scams since the early 1990s.
Shameful excuse for a company.

There are some countries that will not never stop over-fishing. I cannot imaging that carbon emissions will go down anytime soon.
It goes fast enough, so what?
Is it practical? Is it more environmentally friendly than standard cars?
If not, then who cares?
I am not saying that is a good thing, or a bad thing.
Anybody could practice medicine. You could not lie about your credentials, but no degrees, or licenses, would ever be required.
Any drug would be available to anybody, any time. Anybody could buy a kilo of opium, or cocaine, or whatever, from Walgreen's.
No such thing as malpractice.

I think his remarks about are probably accurate.
This is nothing but censorship. The government does not want us tax paying peons to know the truth about our exalted leaders.

A lot of people will instantly reject anything that is too different. Some argue, that is the reason that Windows 8 never really caught on.

I used Win2K for years after it was EOL. I had far less problems with security than I now have Windows 7.
IMO: Win2K was best OS Microsoft ever released.
From what I have heard, UK has been getting a flood of immigrants who want nothing more than to live on the UK's generous welfare system.
The non-productive immigrants are totally draining the system.

Is that where they keep prisoner wizards, or somethings.
I did not say that Americans invented everything, I said that Americans have done way more than their share.
How could that be possible in a nation of drooling technology idiots?
