    I used them for a bit a year ago, when they were hacked. I had to get my ISP password reset because I was stupid and used theie ftp service. Why people would stick with them after that, is beyond me.

    Sadly, it runs windows so no one will actually want to use one for real work, but it looks pretty cool for minesweeper.

    Are you saying that the 1000's of businesses taht use Windows aren't really doing anything 'real?' I know Windows can be virus prone and things but to just dismiss it with what you said is just plain silly.

    Yeah but it's a lot easier to make CD's of music recorded off the commerical free DirecTV channels than it is edit them out of a FM station recording.

    I'd like to know how you did this. What software/OS you are using. I have a machine that I wanna convert to a Tivo-clone. Pausing and skipping commercials is not that important to me but I would ike to get some of my VHS tapes on CD too.

    Yes, that way when I write something or record something, I can forget about worrying if someone is going to copy it and claim it as their own. Why forget? Because everyone will be doing it and eventually no one will make anything for public listening/viewing/etc.

    I wonder if the RIAA realizes this? I used to listen to KPIG all the time and I actually bought CD's after listening to some of their playlist. I had never heard of Ashley MacIsaac before then. So by listening to an online stream I was pursuaded to get the whole album. KPIG and the like are going to have either shutdown or be for-pay and I won't listen. So I won't buy CD's.

    We are experiencing MVS processor spin loops, the programs are running while holding a disabled CPU. This is causing XCF communication delays to the point where we are losing VTAM RTP routing, are suffering OSPF adjacency failures on TCP/IP dynamic routing and MIM VCF failures. Whatever this code is, it should NOT be propagated to production or we run the risk of losing the development plex if XCF signaling is adversely impacted by processor disabled spin loops'.

    Was that the actual error message? Or was that how he explained what was happening?

    Well to be fair, perhaps he lives in a rural area and can't get to a store that sells dry ice? Or maybe he has a very limited budget and $1.00 a pound is too much.
