    Somehow I not excited when I then see show how they get a free education to then work in the computer industry and yet I had to pay for mine.

    It's the same argument that governments use to break into your computer: "think of the children! Maybe that computer we break into has child porn! Would you disagree that we need to stop child porn?" Breaking into computers and stealing e-mail is illegal. People who do that should be arrested. Nobody is murdering babies; saying "but what if they murder babies?" is not an excuse.

    The US government should be constrained by US law. The Russian government is not.

    Russian law is whatever Putin wants it to be. They are perfectly constrained by this.

    And he has yet to return Alaska back to Russia, which was illegally sold by the Emperer Alexander II against the will of the Russian people.

    There is nowhere on Earth that was illegally acquired that is going back to its original owners.

    There was plenty of circumstantial evidence, and that's what nailed Nixon to the wall. It wasn't merely that he tried to coverup the Administration's involvement in the break-in, it's that there was enough *indirect* evidence, including the tape erasure (and the ridiculous explanation for how it happened) to point a finger pretty firmly at Nixon being at the heart of the whole affair. The kind of weasel language Nixon defenders always bring up was getting pretty old even by the time of his resignation. Certainly no one in Congress actually believed any of it.

    He was just unfortunate not to have a volunteer propaganda apparatus on the internet. He'd be fine nowadays. They'd just call the whole affair 'fake news' and move on.
